Maybe if you posted the questions here people would post answers? I know that was done before. I don't think that people are just going to email someone they don't know out of the blue to talk about ARGs, it could just be a waste of time. Don't take it personally - I'm sure people will help you out, it is just that your request seems vague and unfocused.

my questions

thank you for ur suggestion!
here is my questions

1. How old are you?

2. Where are you from?

3. Please tell me which movie viral promotion campaigns did you participate?

4. Why did you decide to participate in it?

5. How did you become aware about this campaign?
• Did your friend send you a link?
• Did you find out about the game through blogs or social network sites?
• Did you find out about the game through traditional media promotional tools, such as TV, radio, print?

6. How soon did you understand that you were involved in a movie promotion?

7. Did you spread information about the campaign to anyone else?
• If yes, why did you decide to do it?
• Through which media channel did you do it (send a link; face-to-face; post a status)

8. After the campaign did you watch the related movie?
• What were your expectations about it?
• Did film meet your expectations?

9. Did you participate in any discussions related to the movie after it was released?

10. Do you know what viral marketing is?
• How can you define it?
• Can you provide any examples of a viral marketing campaign?

thank to everyone in advance who will spend some time on it!

can I answer selectively? Smile

3. Please tell me which movie viral promotion campaigns did you participate?
hmm The Host, Dark Knight, Cloverfield, The International... I haven't really followed Tron or super 8 ... also I played Metacortechs which was a player-made game for the matrix reloaded, but that wasn't an official player campaign

4. Why did you decide to participate in it?

The Host - my friends were playing it
Dark Knight - it looked awesome
Cloverfield - got swept along with the tide
The International --looked awesome, I like Clive Owen and they gave away free money

5. How did you become aware about this campaign?

from these forums - all of the above films other than Metacortechs which I found on a Matrix forum

6. How soon did you understand that you were involved in a movie promotion?

right away

7. Did you spread information about the campaign to anyone else?
yes
how- hmm don't remember, just told people about it..sent them links...email..nagged at them in unfiction chat

8. After the campaign did you watch the related movie?
yes
• What were your expectations about it
the host - very high
dark knight - insanely high, cloverfield - low to less than none; international - medium, that it would be a good thriller
• Did film meet your expectations?
yes - all of them

9. Did you participate in any discussions related to the movie after it was released?
yes

10. Do you know what viral marketing is?
yes
• How can you define it?
hmm - I would say viral marketing is broader than ARGs and I prefer to play ARGs. I think viral marketing mostly uses fictional characters having websites, blogs, possibly billboards etc without much of a story or without much need for players to participate
• Can you provide any examples of a viral marketing campaign?
dude, are you kidding?

How about this one:
http://www.hanestravelincomfort.com and it's associated content and http://thatssorick.blogspot.com

Both of which tie into the TV Spots. Not an ARG, but there is a viral component

Curiously, I found these while trying to answer the question from my daughter... "Who's the actor that plays "Bacon Neck Guy?" Also in Castrol, Lowes and USPS Priority Mail commercials as well as additional "Flight 23" videos and was the dad on the elevator in "The Hangover".
