A service worth a million dollar, the name Anthony Fragomeni and the TOWER?

This really got me thinking. These three connect, I think, to an old sf-story I read. I think it's by Jack Vance. But I'm not sure. I'll have to check it at home. I'm not sure the book I read it in was by Jack Vance or another. But I'll let you know.

[edit] it was a short story by Jack Vance. Chateau d'if. I'll have to reread it to see if it possibly connects but I'm not sure right now. (allthough I don't mind rereading the story. I remember that I liked it very much.)
I only have the Dutch translated version here. So I don't know if in my version the names correspond.

Wow.

The website is all kinds of badass, so props to the design...I love it.

If he turns out to be from the future at all, I am at least glad to know long hair is IN again. however, apparently unfortunately at the expense of true masculinity - I guess the whole metrosexual crap will continue making candyasses out of guys for the duration...

The only Anthony Fragomeni that comes up is for a cosmetologist, which is amusing given the "do" he's sporting.

The reveal video (23mins) - everything he said, observation wise, is absolutely dead on the money, and I couldn't agree more with practically everything on the site, with the foremost exception of the one million dollar price tag...I guess capitalism aint dead in the great beyond...but besides that, hell yes.

I'd be all for it...though I can't help but recognize a bit of snake oil salesman promoting the obvious...everything he described is quite possible here and now through what amounts to conscious evolution...problem is, as he pointed out, people are mostly too lazy and stupid anymore to bother, which makes me feel the answer to the simulation argument will be "nope, we totally wipe ourselves off the planet before we accomplish that."

The brief description of neural communication was basically how it works naturally, so if he's proposing this procedure that isn't holistic, natural or medical, then I'm presuming it's going to be digital...and how that will happen remains to be seen...unless it's all about cloning and handing over our info and "we" won't be around to see any of it one way or the other.

The trademark info definitely nods in favor of legit, but the outrageousness of it seems too over the top to be really real.

The PA (what 16 channel board?) set up connected to the monitor and a bunch of clear tubes, and what almost looks like either a round rear view mirror and mic stand/flat synth drum panel just reeked of DIY Futuristic thing it was hard to take seriously.

Likewise the completely retro 1960s ideas of how the future would probably look style he's sporting.

I'm tossed on this one just yet...like dead on the fence, though I'm definitely cutting in line with MTHoopla...if it *did* turn out to be a transhumanist game, I'd be so in I could just shit.

I submitted some registration info all the same to access the media section, so will report back if anything comes of it that's remotely noteworthy.

From wiki?

Château d'If in film

Perhaps because the real Château d'If has only a modest visual impact, other locations have stood in for it in film versions of Dumas' story. In the most recent adaptation starring Jim Caviezel (released in 2002), the castle was represented by St Mary's tower - a watchtower on the cliff edge of Comino, the smallest of Malta's islands. It can be seen on the ferry crossing between Malta and Gozo. It was also used as a meeting place in the movie The French Connection.

Only reference to a tower...and not sure of the connection you had in mind ;-p
