Are you KIDDING ME! That was the secret message I've been trying to decipher. Ugh, I am so angry. They have been pushing and pushing us with this puzzle. It did not add to the narrative, it was just a small little message, they didn't have to stop the game for this.

More bits and pieces... The QR codes on P1 of the newspaper translate as...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. www.standardneyoudontunderstand
2. www.standardnewhatyouare
3. www.standarddoing.stopyour
4. www.staninterference.there
Or...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You don't understand what you are doing. Stop your interference. There...
The ones on P2 are undreadable. I've asked for a better copy of P2.
Cortez
Edited to hide spoilers.

Cool; where are you getting that? My code reader just gives a headline comparable to the story it is beside. Is is the crime rates story that gives you the start of the message?
edit: oh I see, the NEW paper...

I think I found our PM:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I might have stumbled upon our PM in the General Meta sub-forum. She goes by the name of Sarah B, and is located in Stonehenge, UK. AnaD (very similar to Sarah B) mentioned in the Avoncroft forums that she is an expert with anything Stonehenge related.

here is a piece of the post:
"something for an organisation (not a marketing thing - it's a cultural institution, this game is designed purely with a participation / learning motive)."
Also, this isn't her first time PM'ing a game.

Behind the curtain randomness... Our man the professor...
is quite possibly the same man as can be seen sitting at the table with the girls (minus comedy wig) at 1:22 in this video:

Just an observation.

you'll notice that there are 3 staff members who haven't made an appearance yet: GeorgeD, Kirst_x , and Siobhan. There's also an email address for Sarah Butler.
I've been exploring Twitter and found user called Kirsty Carmell (username: star_princess). She's followed by mravoncroft and the interesting thing is she is studying interactive media at Uni.
EDIT: I also found a Siobhan Deeny (@siobhandeeny) who lives in Worcestershire (where Bromsgrove is to be found) is following both @AvoncroftMuseum and @heritageanna). Shiobhan has a blog at http://siobhan-siobhansmusings.blogspot.com/ but this is OOG.
Finally, I found @GeorgeDoran, which makes all 3 of the above staff members.

@cortez
that Snoopy playing detective avatar fits you perfectly.
On that note, this game has me incredibly bored. I might drop it from my Now Playing roster :/

Same here, this game seems to move incredibly slow, although I don't think I'll drop it just yet...
Apart from that one cipher, nothing so far has really got me wondering, but I'm kind of hoping it's going to pick up if we find out what's going on with the messages from the future... Hey, one can hope, right?

Yes, it seems that everything shuts down for the weekend. Kind of frustrating. Will give it a while as the setting is practically in my back yard.
EDIT: They posted a better pic of the latests newspaper. Mensvenatus decoded the full message to be:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"You don't understand what you are doing. Stop your interference. There are consequences you cannot predict. Transtemporal relocation is not a game."

Like Cortez I have also been exploring the twitter accounts. I noticed that the curator had tweeted a @pattansell. They have a tweet listed from @avoncroft that says they are looking at the history of Tong castle. When I looked into the castle I discovered it waslived in by a George Duran II who had many illicit affairs and was reputed to have a child in every cottage on the Tong estate. He gave these children weird names and the museum has the ice house from there so I am thinking maybe thats where this may be going.

For some reason it didnt register that I was signed in when I made that last post. Also wanted to say that it was around 150 years ago that George Durant II was so generously spreading his seed. That makes it at least plausible that one of his bastards could be named Phoenix.

On a side note I cycled through the village of Tong Havana yesterday while on a ride out. It's only about 20 miles from where I live. What a coincidence.
But back to the game...
I posted a 'what we currently know' on the Asaproject board, and I've duplicated it here for reference:
---------------------------------------------------
5th August
Nailshop - Silver 'artwork' replaced coals/nails?
Church - Newspaper (dated 5th August 2169) replaced Hymn-book
Gave us the message: "You don't understand what you are doing. Stop your interference. There are consequences you cannot predict. Transtemporal relocation is not a game."
July 29th
Brewhouse - Newspaper (dated July 30th 2170) was spotted on July 30th but appears in pic posted on 29th and replaced an empty soap-box.
Gave us the message: "No seriously, stop messing with spacetime"
July 20th
Tollhouse - Newspaper dated July 6th 2168 replaces a piece of puzzle.
QR codes gave a bunch of dead web-addresses for the newspaper stories
July 16th
Prefab - Happy 130th Birthday card from 'Pheonix' replaced WW2 pamphlet
So, that's what we have so far. Any ideas?
FWIW, I think that the items from the future are coming from the same place as there seems to be a logical narrative progression. The 'no seriously' comment technically comes after the 'You don't understand' message (in terms of the chronological sequence). Therefore one might reasonably conclude that the objects from our present are appearing in one future person's present with gaps of around one year, whereas to us it's a matter of weeks or days between appearances. Also, whoever it is that's getting the stuff from the museum in 150-ish years from now understands time-travel and believes it's us that's causing these switches.

Hmmm; thought for sure it was some variation of a ROT cipher; 4th letter of the 1st rot, etc. Not working for me though

I've posted the translation over on the ASAP board, but basically about, index and education are pages on the Avoncroft museum website. The numbers are word/letter on that page.
Edit - I guess I should post it all on here too:
16/7 = test paper
20/7 = test paoer - I guess this should read paper (this error recurs in other places - might be me, or the code!)
23/7 = dentist 13.15
29/7 = test paper
3/8 = doctor
4/8 = test
6/8 = oaper
12/8 = fabric
16/8 = paper
23/8 = paoer
20/8 = library books due
31/8 = fabrhc (presumably this should be fabric)
25/8 = fabric
4/9 = oaper
2/9 = paper
18/9 = paper
