Actually I like this, we might be able to map out a little more about TV using something like this ^_^

Of course, I have no concept of the actual geography of TV, but it'll sort itself out I'm sure.

Well, I'm in!

[quote]You are in a dark room, standing on a polished wooden floor. In front of you is an ornate door. To your left is a large, comfy chair. To your right is a small writing desk with a chair. Every wall is lined with shelves of books. One of the books on the left side of the room is much larger than the others.

You notice that the ornate door is covered in numbers.

Welcome to Transition Village! This is the Library of the Governor's mansion. You have a purpose here; try to figure out what it is. There are ghosts, so stay on guard. If you see other travelers along the way, be sure to say hello! Any changes you make to the town are permanent until someone else changes them, so please be considerate... and careful.

So I finally have a free couple of minutes to post this. I can say that it is really good to be back in the village.

Quote:

You are in a calming room, standing on a soft rug. In front of you is a wooden door. To your left is an old, wicker chair. To your right is a kitchen table large enough for two, with two small chairs at either end. On the right wall are a sink and one cabinet. On the back wall are a gas oven and two paintings of religious scenes. On the left wall are a twin-sized bed, a nightstand with a burnt-out candle, and a wooden dresser.

You notice that the wooden door is covered in numbers.

Welcome to Transition Village! This is the abandoned Pastor's House. You have a purpose here; try to figure out what it is. There are ghosts, so stay on guard. If you see other travelers along the way, be sure to say hello! Any changes you make to the town are permanent until someone else changes them, so please be considerate... and careful.

My first move was to check the cabinet on the right wall. To all of my friends from our previous TV adventures, it is good to hear from all of you. For you newcomers to the village, I hope you have as much fun as we have in the past.

Can't wait to see what is in that cabinet.

CHECK YOUR INBOXES

the replies have been started to be sent out,

Here is mine:

Quote:

You cough on the dust that fills your surroundings. It is without a doubt the oldest place you have ever been in. You can feel that it is ancient.

After looking around at the various things in the room, you begin to panic. What does this mean? Why are you here? Time passes, and you feel certain that you must go to the most significant place first.

And so you do. With impeccable logic, you deduce that the best place to look for answers is under the rug.

Unfortunately, that rug is crawling with tiny mites and beetles. You flick them aside and lift the aging cloth up to expose the cracked, wooden planks of the floor. One of them looks as if it could be lifted up…

You give it a tug, and up it comes, exposing a dirty space just large enough to hide three items. It looks as though the farmer had some things he wanted to keep secret. They are a magazine, a sippy cup, and a life bead.

You may take only one item per turn.

I decided to take the large book, here's the email:

Quote:
Thinking as a true scholar would, you head directly for the largest book in the room, and you pull it off the shelf. Somewhere in the walls of the mansion, far away, you hear a sound. It is like stone sliding against stone.

You look at the book in your hands. It is The Transition Village Official Dictionary. You open it up to read, but there is nothing inside. They are only blank pages. The inside cover has a stamp of letters in it like a library stamp, but they don't seem to mean anything.

The text is decoded as:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SPEAK THE WORD YOU WANT TO DEFINE.

Anybody have any suggestions of what to do next?

Response!

Quote:
Talking aloud to yourself about how interesting the room is, you wander about, giving only a cursory glance at each area.

Finally, stepping around the questionable rug, you decide to look inside the oven. It creaks open, and an odd smell lingers before you, like the echo of something rotting long ago.

You kneel down and poke your face inside to get a better view.

"Hello."

In surprise and fright, you bang your head on the top of the oven before you fall backward and finally stand up. There was someone in there.

Before you can run, the ghost of a young woman pokes her head out of the oven and looks up at you. "Did you need something? I'm working on my baking right now, but I honestly cannot remember the way to go about it. Can you show me what I'm doing wrong?"

I'm really not sure I want to know what she's cooking. *gulp*

Well, it seems like I have encountered the first ghost! Smile

No idea if I should be happy or scared... kinda new to this TV stuff

Quote:
You decide to give only general glances at each area of the room, not choosing to examine one place carefully. The wicker chair makes you happiest, and you linger there for a few moments, enjoying the memories it brings you.

When you are done getting your bearings, you head to the kitchen table to sit down and think.

What have you learned? You have learned the layout of the room pretty well, and that is good.

What have you found? Well, that's hard to say, as you didn't give any one place your time. It seems there were a few items hidden around the room, but maybe you overlooked them?

"Can you mend this?"

You look up. A man is standing at the door. No – not a man. The ghost of a man. He is holding a horseshoe.

"It's gone all crooked," he tells you.

After admiring the Governor's sweet ride, you give a hesitant glance at the eerily empty back seat, and then you check the glove compartment.

Instantly, a brochure falls out onto the passenger seat. You pick it up and read.

Come to the grand opening of the Historical Ghost Museum, hereby named the Daniel G. Museum! Located just between the Farmer's Home and the Church Farm, on the east side of Transition Village.

You put the brochure down and look at the glove compartment.

Inside there are three items: a trowel, a notebook, and a bloody hand rag.

You may take only one item per turn.

AH... why is there a bloody rag in there!?!? :/

@urthstripe: Ask it to define Love, or Happiness. Or maybe not, it might explode.

@Turducken: Yeah, we need... I think it's 3 life beads per person if we want to revive them, right? (EDIT: Oh, and the necessary item that corresponds to whoever we want to revive. Last time they were pot-plants with special symbols on them)
