 Tutty

I have been following this thread for days now and must give a big kudos to everyone for the great job of figuring out the clues. I did notice one thing that I think might have been missed and thought it would be worth pointing out.... When the captain thinks Tutty has been blown to smithereens Mulligan tells him not to worry as he switched him out with a potato. Therefore we can't say conclusively that we know what Tutty is or what he/she looks like. Also the potato Mulligan is holding has a face drawn on it, could this be a reference to Mr. Potato Head? If so, how does that tie in to the bigger picture? Just my two cents. Very Happy

I may be overanylizing but is there any way that the cannon that crothers fired points to a clue because it shot out the 3rd window into the sea out of 4 total windows, and the japanese interlude that people have mentioned also points out the number 3 when tom flies over roosevelt and screams "clue". I may be digging to hard but is the number 3 is important in solving this hunt????

Panzone: welcome here!! I suggest you learn to search a bit. If you search for the name fellowtraveler, you can get a link to all of his posts. Going through them, you can easily find a link to the map. Alternatively, you can scroll back a few pages to locate it. This way you can find the map using your own initiative.

Ordinarily I would just do the work for you and post the link here too, but I am on my way to sleep now, I have to get up at 4:00 am tomorrow, and don't have time. I do know that you can find it.

We are working on getting a wiki set up for this game. I'm not sure when it will be ready but once that is up, it should help greatly with organization.

ive been watching this forum for days and just signed up for a username because when i click the map link a new window shows up with nothing in it so i thought i had to sign up to see it which i don't and i still cant see it. that is why i asked FELLOWTRAVELER where the map was... thanks

No, Rose is in the right here. Good manners are good manners. If you had a reasonable request for assistance you should have explained the reasons behind it so the community could help you properly. And when you get a very patient response to your one line, totally unexplained demand, then you are simply making yourself a pest by getting petulant -and resorting to shouting- in return.

PANZONE: is your question that the link for the map doesn't work for you or that you don't have the link? I thought you couldn't find the link, but if you have the link and the map doesn't open, I'm not sure why that would be happening.

fellow traveler's map
much appreciated maps

Panzone, welcome to the forum!

Here is fellowtraveler's map. There is also similar much appreciated map by a previous poster.

It seems that Mount Rushmore is an important clue that yet requires resolution.

Note that Tom seems to be riding a rat at the beginning of the Japanese segment. I suspect this is Rat Rock/Umpire Rock.

Re: Whoa there

[quote="WeeWillyT"]Can we agree to refrain from making claims about having already having figured this all out? It doesn't add much, and is highly unlikely, regardless. This is going to be a long haul which we are only 1/4 through, and there is no doubt we are being fed themes which shall be relevant later.

On second thought Willy, how do we know that you aren't one of the creators of the game.....on here to monitor and keep people on the right right track? Then when I get a little bit too close, you try to dismiss it so people will continue to watch the videos? Laughing

Ok, so I am clearly kidding about that, but has anybody ever thought about the fact that the creators might be on here either helping us or confusing us?

I hadn't even noticed a rat!!! lol TY for pointing it out.
I thought them showing Mt. Rushmore could have just been a clue for Rat/Umpire rock, now I definitely think that's what it is.
I do think it's odd though that it is shown with the #3 and the third face on Rushmore is Roosevelt and there are so many Roosevelt things around.

Maybe it's shown with the 3rd number to show us that Tom's 3rd number from last week is on the rock.

I do think they would look around to see people working on the hunt and the progress being made and if they googled it then this forum shows up first so they would most likely come here. I don't know if they have or not but if they did and they posted I have a good guess at who I think it is Smile

Walked the trail and confirming fellowtraveler's summary

Fellowtraveler, you were right! I walked it again,
1. after leaving chess and checkers walked o'er the bridge (Driprock)
2. made a right toward the ballfields,
3. found the lampposts which took me to the top of Rat/Umpire Rock,
4. walked across Pinebank Bridge
5. walked under (south of the bridge) Greyshot which was right of Pinebank,
6. passed the restrooms,
7. saw the Maine Monument
8. and walked to the giant silver globe.

It makes sense because Captain says go S by SW so it's obvious that coming out of Chess and Checkers one should go S! Sorry for the false "correction" there.

Other non-revelations: Confused

Greyshot is beautiful.

Also at night the lampposts behind the Maine Monument look like smoldering cannons of destruction. I know the statue atop the Maine was also made by the cannonballs but at night that's what I noticed. They are a different kind of lamppost than the ones in the ballfield.

I didn't find anything relating to Crothers sleeves, the potato or Roosevelt along the path. Oh well!

Also still no luck with that Morse code. The first word is "time" who knows what that second word is, there's a number 4 in there and the last word is "inn". Then again I can't understand it after a while. Confused

Remeber, there are spies everywhere! Wasn't the sockpuppet VelociraptorPancakes already outed? (or was that some other site??)

Well, I'm sorry about that; before your post there were a number of highly unlikely and utterly baseless "I got this all figured out!" claims, and I suppose yours hit me when I was feeling snarky. I too have some thoughts on where the treasure is (or, rather, where it's not - a public park) but prefer to let the pieces come in and fall into place than get cloudy thinking so early in the pursuit.
Indeed, if it is Todt Hill there will cheeseburgers-a-plenty. But if it was buried by some resurgent Boys From Brazil-style Todt Organization, then maybe bratwurst would be more appropriate.
