also...

Beaver on top seems to be a clue as well

Gold or not...I'm glad these videos are hilarious. I really hope these guys get a gig out of this (if they haven't already).

Also, my preliminary thoughts on this video:

firefly ?
1 and 2: the 1 and 2 @ columbus circle
mind the gap (obv)
lawrence - R stop in Brooklyn
cortland - R stop downtown
tom says something?
look for mario in the preview clip
blue hat ?
hat on fire ?
crows nest
how'd i get up here (blue background over red/orange and yellow). as of now and as of the time these videos were created, the subway system is different. the M, which is orange now, was brown then. the W, a yellow line, no longer exists, nor does the V, an orange train. in my opinion, they are representing red, blue, and orange, or the 1,2, A, B, C, D trains, which all stop at columbus circle. the blue "is this some sort of a clue" above the rest of them leads me to think they are on a A or C headed uptown.

jared - subway

this entire video is probably subway directions

Not that I am completely on board with all the clues being subway references, a lot of it sure seems to be. One more in the subway column is the 4 docks/5 docks bit: the subway only connects 4 of the 5 boroughs. And the A-train is the only one of the lines that hits all 4. And it's color is blue.

(edited: I meant the A-train ... doh.)

ah-ha and thats why mario says we're on the right track and the background is blue then

The beaver reminded me immediately of the astor place train station.

But I am confused, because the 6 train doesn't stop at Columbus Circle. I've never taken a letter train to whatever station is near astor place, so I don't know if they have the same subway tiles.

Other than that I have to watch this video again more closely later this week.

Subway Trip and Transcript

Seems to me that this video is about what you actually pass by in the subway platforms on in the train. We can try to guess some of the sneakier codes here but someone needs to actually go. I've been visiting Central Park a lot because I live close by but I won't be able to go on a crazy ride with my baby in tow! She likes Central Park not the subways! Any takers?

Also anyone up to making a transcript? I would do one but alas my baby girl loves to play with the keyboard precisely when I'm going to type! *sigh* anyway if I have revelations I'll let you all know... Like they definitely pass through Penn Station being that there's a kind of mall there, all the Pennsylvania references and the KMart (expo mart in the ticker). Or that they are obviously headed towards Brooklyn being that that's King County and they 're on Larry King.

It's been fun y'all! If they come back to Manhattan I'll visit the sites for you all!

Hopefully we can get fellowtraveler to post a transcript for episode 3, they really do come in handy, however this episode is really tricky its not just listen for the clues but it more visual clues that u need to look out for oppose to the others.

Port of cortlandt

So the R train indeed stops at Cortlandt street. I am not sure but Cortlandt might be one of the stations in the system (like South Ferry used to be) where you had to be in the front 4 cars to get off the subway because the station didnt fit 5 cars. So that would explain the 5 but you can only see 4 at port cortlandt. However, and I think it's great that it is the ARRR line, the R line is the yellow line while the A and C are the Blue lines (the right track) Now the mention of Cortlandt tells me they headed south and if they are on the Blue line they may be headed to Brooklyn. Have to listen again to see what else there is.

roosevelt

OK so I dont know if I am on crack here but bare with me. I realize that the Ep 3 mentions Cortland which is south. However at the end the Blue line is on top and has reversed positions. Perhaps this means that they are heading back up town. Now if this is the case, let's go back to the Roosevelt imagery talked about.

Let's say Roosevelt is a clue as mentioned with regards to the Japanese song montage. Well all three colors of subway lines go over Roosevelt Island. So if there is a connection the the right track may be the E train into Queens. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Message in a bottle?
Anyone? Info?

So.... on an unrelated topic....

It seems on another thread there were mentions of "messages in bottles" found near the Central Park locations. I have no knowledge of the messages or concepts and I do not live in NYC.

Has anyone found these yet???? What do they say??????

I wish I lived in NYC, as I love the videos and love this whole concept.

Yet another early hunch
C train, port authority, Penn station, switch trains?

Here's what I understand from the beginning of the episode:

take the C train ("I don't see it..", spectacles, glasses)

pass the port authority (all that king Arthur stuff in the ticker)

switch trains at Penn station (take exit at something mart in Pennsylvania)

that's all I've got so far.
