Whoo hoo, I'm finally in! I was beginning to get worried that I would miss the third round of my favorite ARG!

Quote:
A spot has opened, and you are next in line!

You are in a small, dark room, standing on a cold, wooden floor. In front of you is a thin door. To your left is an old dresser and another thin door. To your right is a tiny bed. There is a closet at the back wall.

You notice that the thin door in front of you is covered in numbers.

My reply:

Quote:
"Oh boy, here we go again," I mutter to no one in particular. Dusting off my jacket and shaking out my fedora I look around the tiny room. There isn't much light to see by but I notice the numbers engraved in the door. For a moment I think about reaching out to touch them when my gut tells me something is moving behind me. Turning slowly all I see is a closed closet door.

Taking a breath I reach out slowly, take hold of the cold brass knob and pull the door open...

I haven't been keeping up (sorry!) so let me know as we go if I'm missing something you folks have already covered.

Umm.. well, did you get a copy of the numbers on the door? Was it the general "you are here" message?

Well I am officially placing myself on the side in defense of the Governor. Being that I have no previous experience with the Governor in game I'm playing a little hesitant for now.

Quote:
I pause for a moment, considering the question being asked of me by the stunning ghost in front of me, presumably the doctor of the town.

I begin to work on repairing the damage and wear to the lady's blade as I consider the question, allowing the work to relax my mind.

"Firstly Mi'Lady you do have my word, I can understand this is a delicate matter" I say softly while working to repair a few smaller marks in the blade.

I allow myself to get lost in the work for a moment as I think.

"I do not know much about the Governor, nor the town in which I now reside" a momentary pause

"However from what I surmise my appearance here is due to the Governor's interaction and acceptance."

A few more minutes pass as I work on the blade, restoring the edge and adding a new shine to it, checking the balance and verifying that the weapon is, at least, repaired and serviceable for the moment. Unsure if the ghost wishes a full restoration or simply to have the blade battle ready I pause in my work, turning to her.

Voice lowered I continue, "I do not like to see any unnecessary violence, Mi'Lady Athena" I say, "I think that the Governor is doing a good job with the town and it's inhabitants. Until I see something to indicate otherwise I would say that Yes; I would fight to defend him and the village proper."

I look to the doctor to see her reaction, to both the blade and my response.

'Curiouser and curiouser, I will have to find out how much I can learn of the town and this conflict.'

'Safely..'

I, too would be in defense of the Governor, and seemingly the rest of the town. As The Dr. said, it is a nice place that he has made for them, so I think there may be a harmony of sorts amongst the residents. Unless I am completely backwards and there is something wrong that we need to fix... Anyone got any thoughts on this?
Governor: good or evil? Should we help him or help these revolutionaries?

Discuss

Edit: Stealth Camo?!?! I want stealth camo!

im sorry the camo was part of my pre existing inventory , ^_^ last time around i was needed for a mission of utmost stealth and danger,
^_^ hell i saved the day
err well i got a key that helped save the day lol
BUT the sneaky part is i totally took it with me when the TV2 was over, never handed it back lol so technically as everything in TV stays the same from game to game I should still have my nifty bonus ^_^
Mind you I needed it for sneaking thru the mansion with out being seen by anyone.

Are you in the town Absynth or are you waiting like me still?

Yay! I'm in! I have landed in the governers library. Here is my reply:

So here I sit just trying to do my homework when all of a sudden terrifyingly familiar feeling overcomes me. My body dissolves into a swirling mist of molecules as I am whisked away from my home. In the few seconds of discontinuation I realize that I must be getting called to duty in an old familiar place.

Upon materialization I quickly wrap my arms around the closest thing and hold on as during my last stay in Transition Village my body was prone to elasticity. Being shrunken down to a tiny size is bad enough but then there was all the confusion regarding my gender. Doing quick mental inventory I sigh with relief that all the girl parts have indeed arrived with me.

Opening my eyes slowly I find myself clinging to an odd sculpture; one of three figures and a dragon. Oh yeah! I am happy to see a version of the sculpture of the adventure myself and my cohorts had during our last visit residing in such a place of honor. I relax and look around and see I am surrounded by walls of books. As the furnishings in the room appear to be luxurious and well kept I can only conclude that I have arrived in the Governers' mansion. I check the shelves a little more closely and notice a large gap in one shelf of books. Must have been a big book there, I muse.

As I am standing by the small writing desk I decide to check its drawers…

Quote:
In tact, normal size, and totally female, you have arrived in Transition Village. There is a small replica of the statue that stands in the village, and you recognize it as a tribute to your great deeds the last time you were here. It is good to be back.

But Transition Village isn't all fun and games, you remember. Attention must be paid to your surroundings. You choose to investigate the drawers first.

Most of them are locked. Only three of the ten are unlocked, and a fourth drawer is missing altogether. In the first drawer you find a shopping list. In the second drawer you find a toy truck, and in the third drawer you find leftover slice of pizza.

In the space where the fourth drawer is missing, you find two life beads.

You may take only one item per turn.

I wonder if the "two life beads" count as one item? I am sorely tempted to eat the pizza but am very curious as to why there is a slice of pizza in the drawer in the first place.

Ok, pizza = pie
shopping list = clues?
toy firetruck = this is the second toy mentioned.

*waving at our intrepid stealth vampire hunter*

I shall think on this as I have until tomorrow...

Pie does seem to be a recurring theme this game...

The toys sounds interesting as well

Strange Trees

For the past three days I have been tracking the growth of a strange new species of tree. No one in the village has ever seen anything like it. And there are so many of them! 18 appeared literally overnight. The group is located in the northern part of the village, just past the Transition Village graveyard.

The trees have thick, pale stalks marked with swirling lines that seem to form a pattern, though of course it is still too early to make out any more detail than that. They are a nearly iridescent white that is unlike any color I have ever seen in all my years as a horticulturalist. It is impossible at this point to tell whether or not they will change in color, and as of yet there are no leaves.

it goes on about humming lizards and strange things, so its a pretty interesting little read.

So Saturday is our first deadline of sorts. gives us plenty of time to explore. im going to get out of the mansion as soon as i can to go explore the graveyard, maybe someone could swing by in the Governor's pimpmobile and scoop me up outside tomorrow? <wink>
And Kolixela, Ill take something sharp and pointy too, Im a fellow defender, unless the town turns out it needs rescuing from the clutches of a ghostly ruler in a seat of power, then im afraid I would have to defect so we could help save a town and set these ghosts free
