[CHAT] With Emily - 16 Sep - she'll be back at 6pm Pacific I was in the chatroom on 32ndnotes, when this happened:
Quote:
*** Emily has joined #32ndnotes
<Emily> Wow, someone's here for once?
<Emily> And it's Jehane!
<Jehane> hi Emily
<Jehane> how are you?
<Emily> Not bad Jehane, not bad.
<Emily> I've been better.
<Emily> I just got home from school...
<Jehane> Anything in particular wrong?
<Emily> No, just alot of work that I don't want to do.
<Emily> And this website hanging above my head the entire time.
<Jehane> Ah, I know the feeling.
<Jehane> Any luck on the corruption?
<Emily> You mean, uncorrupting the files?
<Emily> Or uploading actual working, non-corrupted files?
<Jehane> Either
<Emily> No.... sadly.
<Emily> I just sorta wish to forget about it right now
<Jehane> Well, we are trying our best to sort it out... very strange.
<Emily> Thank you for your help though.
<Jehane> Well, let's talk about something else, if you'd like...
<Emily> Actually I really shouldn't be here, mom said I can't use the internet until I get my homework done.
<Emily> So, I guess I'll come back after I get all of that done, maybe later tonight.
<Jehane> Ah right, that's a shame.. that'd be good.
<Jehane> what kind of time?
<Emily> Yes.
<Emily> Um, really don't know. I'd say about 7 o'clock mountain time?
<Emily> Or 6 pacific?
<Jehane> okay. I'm in Scotland, so I'll need to work out what time that is.. but if I'm not here I'll try to make sure one of my friends is
<Emily> Ok. We can discuss it all then, and maybe just relax.
<Emily> Thank you for your help again, Jehane.
<Jehane> Excellent. No trouble at all.
<Emily> buh-bye!
*** Emily has quit (Quit: FreeWebs Chat)
I was too shocked to see her to ask her anything good, but she'll be back later... I'll need to work out what kinda time that is here.
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to ask about the song =/ She was literally there for two/three minutes.
EDITED a couple of times to clarify topic.

Awesome job! first contact!
Man, I wish I was with computer access at that time of night... I show it would be at 8pm for me in central. It's 1:48pm now, so that's in just over 6 hours. hope that helps!

Well it's 8pm here.. so that'll be, um, 2am... blast, I have to get up for work at 7:30am, so there's not a great chance of me making it, although I'm tempted to stay up... I'll need to see how tired I feel.
Anyone else?

Well, the chat was a bit of a wash due to (apparently) technical problems.
We finally moved over to a real IRC channel just in time for Em to go. A log from the end.
Quote:
<Emily> I'm sorry, I can't stay, my mom wants me...
<Sydney> oh..
<Emily> Maybe another time... I'll try to e-mail you all..
<Sydney> ok..
<Emily> I'll update the site tomorrow.
[Stormalong] that would be great. thanks Emily.
<Emily> Just...
<Emily> ..
<Emily> darn, got to go!

[chat] W/ Emily The chat was pretty uneventful as Emily kept pinging out. However, we did relay some info to her, and she said she had never seen anything like the sample key I sent her during the chat. In the end, we moved to #32ndnotes on IRC. Then she immediatly got called away by her mom.

Edit - Merged this into the old chat topic - Stormalong

Aw shame it wasn't much use. Oh well, glad I didn't stay up. Good show to the guys that did. Perhaps it was more for the PMs to gauge player base or something?
If anyone wants a more full transcript, they have one over at IU .. "jehane has lots of friends!"
I figure it's okay to link to them for something like this as it's not a puzzle solve or anything, right?

Oh Sequoya, you've gone to the dark side now... Just kiddin... Hey, if it was an official "unfiction game" I'd say bad form (like Orbital Colony or something).... but otherwise I'd think we're working together in a sense...

So... Big gulps eh?
Seriously, when is this site update that emily promised going to happen. She's in school, so I'm expecting this like any time now (cuz it's about the same time she was there yesterday!) And yeah. Pouting. Holding breath. turning blue... I'll do this as long as I---
...
*DM faints*

I'm not sure. I sent her an email today asking whether she had a particular 'site update' day since it seemed like that might be the implication from her email. No reply as yet.
But I'm sitting in the chatroom just now, so if she does appear hopefully I'll pick up on it.
And the dark side, hehehe.. don't worry, I'm staying right here - hopefully it'll turn into more of a collaboration than a competition though.
