[VIRAL?|TRAILHEAD?] Remember Reach An ARG for Halo Reach? I wonder why there is not already a thread for this (I searched but nothing came up).
There is a countdown on this HALO Reach related site:
http://www.rememberreach.com
Could be a potential ARG for the new Halo game - but maybe just some marketing.
At least some people have found some videos on this site (seems like they found them too early ).
I think we will know more in three days.

Yeah there are live action shorts and the rememberreach site looks to be another microsoft digital experience. Spec is that the robot arm will be creating the Noble Team monument through user's interaction/submissions/social networking in some way... we'll find out when the countdown ends, but it's likely not an arg - more likely something along the lines of the Believe campaign.
I've got a bit of info tracked at http://halo.wikibruce.com/Remember_Reach and http://halo.wikibruce.com/Rememberreach.com
Not much really to track at the moment but the videos

Kinda bummed they didn't give their last Halo game the ARG treatment it deserved.
I miss all you ilovebees/iris folks! What good fun we had.

Technically this isn't the LAST Halo game, just the last game made by the original production studio... The studio that did Halo Wars and ODST are going to be making more Halo games in the future...
Maybe if we make enough noise they'll do an ARG for their next big game release

That's why I said their last game, was referring to Bungie.
I'm quite surprised actually with 343 being a whole franchise development team that they didn't jump on this, I mean I'm sure the viral vids should be dropping within the next couple weeks but where's our meaty-ness?!
Was Iris taken as well as they'd hoped? It sure wasn't any Ilovebees...

I certainly hope there's an ARG, but it really seems like it's way too late as the game releases in a month.

It's not an ARG.
It's not an ARG.
It's not an ARG.
See http://halo.wikibruce.com/Laura_Niven for info about the Xbox Canada community launch events for Reach (Toronto and Vancouver)
See http://halo.wikibruce.com/RememberReach.com for links to the live action shorts and info about the Noble Monument being formed from points of light.
No ARG, just viral hype and another cool digital experience and live action storytelling. Much like Halo 3's Believe.
Not like Iris.
Definitely not like ILB.
FYI =P

Or is it? (Sorry, just couldn't resist).
Whatever it is, I like that they're still doing something special and a little out-of-the-ordinary for the upcoming game.

oh absolutely! What's being done is amazing and/or good fun... I want to see moar!
But this "arg" bandwagon in the Halo community is getting a little crowded.
But what kin ye do.
I mean really, it's nothing even like Iris... for Remember Reach, it's story and video told live action shorts revealed over a period of time, plus the light monument robot which is essentially a social media tool.
For the XboxCa events, it's just tasks for exclusives, gets community running around building hype. Heck even the "Covenant" were purple-dressed humans
I intend to get pics from the Toronto 'hunt' up shortly on the wiki. It was basically 'go to these coordinates, find the reps, and they'll give you a dog tag and info about special rights to the Reach community party on the 4th in TO'. A series of coordinates were tweeted, and each drop was exactly the same - get one, no need to visit the rest (though I and a few buddies did for support). The last drop was at the Reach obelisk, the location of event on the 4th.
For the launch events, o 4th wall, no tinag, just a social community activities. The launch was slightly viral, but didn't really go as they'd planned (posted about it at 4DF )
If there's anything ARGish, like Iris it'll likely originate at Bungie.net. All I've personally come to expect these days is some crazy digital experience, and storyworld building in the Haloverse (moar intense live action plz!)

After he found THIS:

Leads to what appears to be an ONI Login Terminal labled 'Console 2'.
What do you make of this?
Hm....
