Josh's Dad SlinkyEdge said, "Who thinks Josh's Dad is Coop?"
And/Or even the person who has been mysteriously contacting Josh?

If Coop is dated back to the early Space Program, Josh would seem too young to be Coop's son unless Coop fathered him late in life.
And as speculated a page before, right now I'm leaning toward "Coop" being the bridge between RP marketing image and real-world STIES contact/conspiracy.

Or!!
What if it is Coop contacting Josh through the PDP through some weird space time continuem!! oooh yeah I like that!!! And that is why Coop had the old newspaper to send a message as it's fro the past.
The power of the internet is amazing!!!

Thought Coop was dead. Their time frame has confused me to no end.

I kind of like this angle. Josh is totally a conspiracy theorist (maybe got into it going through his mom's estate and finding stuff like the STIES paper and a box with the super 8 film in it which got him curious) and through the magic of the internet somehow got connected to Coop but doesn't realize the time difference. Josh is totally a pawn. Maybe Mr and/or Mrs Minker were witnesses to the train wreck and Coop is trying to use Josh to figure out what happened.

Serial Experments: Lain had communications via interent from beyoung the grave (anime)
On the more serious note, punch cards were how they programed computers, But has anyone thought about music? Didnt they use to play player pianos with that?

@Asda, Yes they did, however, short of someone actually having a player piano, I doubt we're going to be able to test that. Based on the rarity of said player pianos I also doubt that they would force us to find someone who has one.
Though It's an interesting thought.

I got (as posted in game summary):
1.alpha bravo, inbound is optimal over
>proceede with your mission
2.>We have a altercation at bravo tango delta, please confirm visual/fuel contact
3.>Coop you are clear to launch probe, data dropout minimal
Couldn't hear the audio myself, but this transcript really rang a bell for me. You say "altercation", which instantly reminded me of Cloverfield ARG, when Tagruato Corp. issued the following statement:
"There has been an altercation at the Chaui Station."
This headline referred to the monster attacking an oil platform. So what is the "altercation" about this time?
Yeah, Parts of them are kinda tricky to make out-Altercation was my best fit, not 100% it's correct...
Not sure if anyone said this, but I think the word is "occultation" not altercation - an occultation is when one body in space passes before another body.

And the one section to me sounds like:
"Alpha Bravo Lima is optimal, Command Fleet"
"Proceed with your mission"
The only NASA acronym for ABL I could find was Air Born Laser.
