Has anyone tried converting the image from a .png to a .jpg and run it through the steg detect program?

What about "The Exorcist"? One of the first 666 movies, and would sort of use the check what's behind you bit.

Judging by 'htm' which appeared in Random on recap.html, 'the French name' clue does refer to Alphonse Juin.

'Juin' is also french for "June". Possibly as in June 6, 2006.
Seems more likely than if it referred to a french general.
EDIT: Also, all of these pages end in ".html", not ".htm". Hmm....

Might that be somehow connected to the image on the page? That comes from something ostensibly about "find the differences"?
I like this idea...
The Omen 1976 release date in France: 17 November 1976
The Omen 2006 release date in France: 06 June 2006
17/11/76
-06/06/06
11/05/70
(didn't work though)
FYI, I've tried seemingly every possible entry for both those dates.
ETA: I think the "find the differences" relates to the 1999-1666 change. Any other differences? The only other variance is the stylesheet reference at the top of the page (which I think is not related).

Finally we are making progress!
We still need a French name. Omen 's French name is La malédiction , but I'm not so sure that's the exact movie we need. Come to think about it, Rosemary's Baby is older and is about 666 to. Its French name is the same though.

What about Mark of the Beast = French La Marque de la Bête (666)
ETA
Also here is a link to the poster of the French Omen:

It certainly doesn't have a French release date (though it makes sense in a way ) and the answer also must be connected to cinema (because of the .css name).

What Hackbook?
Hackbook is a site that allows you to recover passwords facebook account.
The principle is simple, we'll give you a link when you register (see right menu).
To get facebook accounts, you simply switch the link to your target with a good excuse for them to visit (say it is a facebook application, a game, a little imagination, finally).
Once done, you will have a "list of accounts" that contains all the accounts you have managed to recover.
To see the passwords corresponding to the above accounts, you simply use your "credits", purchasable by audiotel codes.
For more info, thank you to click on the links on the right.
I think the site was sold to some scammers honestly.

Not sure if it was sold. I am sure that everyone has looked at this:

Of course it rather worries me that the site has turned from a puzzle to a blatant attempt to make money through illegal means. What further worries me is that the puzzles at the beginning of this were the "beta" tests so I would urge you all the change your FB passwords as soon as possible.
I will not be locking this thread quite yet but please make sure that you do no indulge the greed of this individual since this more and more appears to be a scam.
