Timing belts ain't cheap or easy to fix, especially if it straight-up broke. That can cause all kinds of shenanigans.

I'm thinking either it was something on a much smaller scale, or else he just left the car and caught a bus or hitchhiked the rest of the way home.

Aargh. When you said that, I realized I was thinking of serpentine belts, not timing belts. My father always fixed those when they broke, and it never seemed to take too long. I have no idea about expense, though, but maybe Jeff still had plenty of room on his student credit card. Smile

Buses and hitching are very plausible, though. That would also explain why he didn't have a car charger to keep all his gear, um, charged.

perhaps it's because they update? Or because it's a bigger story?

Since no-one had posted this here yet, Here are some parts of the lyrics from the song that was playing. The song is "who could win a rabbit":

"The fast child is gunna have a dead hen
We can get it started yeah,
Bad mind let me put on good habits
Been workin' in put on good habits
Sometimes I can't find my good habits"

(And then at the end of the song):

"Wabbit or habit?
Habit or Rib?
Rabbit or Habit?
Habit or Rib?
Rabbit or Habit?"

I'm not really sure what to think about it right now, except for the fact that it has the word "Habit" in it everywhere.

When someone asked if they were live from HABIT, Damsel replies with Rabbit.

Perhaps the "good habit" is to stop thinking about SM, as she does.

Or because it's actually an ARG as opposed to a web series.

I was checking the clothes from "A Day in The Life" and, except jeff, no one is using the same clothes after they enter the basement, considering that vince entered the basement too.

If not, then the one that entered the basement was jeff's brother, because of the color of his clothes.

Someone thought that perhaps that SM that appear behind the house was the fake one?

Hm.

I enjoy watching EverymanHYBRID the most, and it's definitely the most fun, but I recently rewatched Marble Hornets and it fits the Heroquest journey perfectly.

The moment it enters Act II is when J steps into the House that Alex is supposedly in.

However, the "Ordeal", the critical moment, is when J goes to the Red Tower and watches the video. That's the moment that J has to choose: Delve deeper or die.

We get into Act III at the VERY end, where J is renewed with determination to find Alex. Although it ends on a cliffhanger, it completes the plot circle.

Intellectually and having been a film student myself, Marble Hornets is the better CINEMATIC Slendyvlog.

But as a human being, and as a Slendyfan, EverymanHYBRID is my favorite, if only for KEEPING IT REAL YO

Slight derail: I bought House of Leaves ("The remastered full-color edition") over the weekend. Not far in, but enjoying it quite a bit.
