I am VERY impressed by the quality of their Slender Man. Even at this close, he almost looks real. They got the sunken, skin filled features of his face just right.

A theory occurred to me just now, regarding the whole "Why could they see Slendy in the woods and not in the school?" deal.
As far as we know, Slendy's home turf is forested or wooded land, right?
Being in a school, further from the trees, may weaken his form or make him less material and therefore less visible.
By this reckoning, he would be more obvious, bolder and more powerful in the forest than he would be in a building.
That said, they saw him pretty easily in the house, so I guess that makes my whole theory pretty moot. I'm gonna post it anyway, seeing as I took the time to write it all up.

It looks so real, I seriously almost cried when I saw it in the video. Slender Man has turned me into a nervous wreck, but I just can't look away.

So in the first upside down screen shot of slendy, does he seem to have eyes? He's looking slightly human in this one. The nose and everything really stands out. I'm impressed with this slendy.

"The second photo is of an elementary school fire in 1978. No official cause was ever found. Seven students and a teacher became trapped and died before firefighters could respond. Many of the students and teachers from the time have a history of anxiety disorders and panic attacks, even those who weren't at the school on that day. At least one has since committed suicide, and several others legally changed their names once they reached adulthood and have disappeared."

How old is Jeff? Could this be his school? The photo shows what may be our skinny friend on top of the roof.

Possibly related, or at least shows that Slender Man has form for burning down elementary schools!

Awesome call back, but even if Jeff were born in '78 that would make him 32 now, which clearly isn't right. If he were in first grade at the time of this incident it would make him 44. I don't think this is intended to be that same school, but the EMH guys are clearly hewing closely to the original thread, and using that as a jumping off point for the event with Jeff.

I will say that of the Slederman stuff that I've watched this continues to be the best acted, by far, but they seriously need to work on their staging. Twice now (the note in the school and the flash drive in Jeff's room) the "find" has been far too simple, and on both occasions when they find something seemingly unrelated, that they weren't even looking for, they give up on their original quest, because obviously this was the story-driven find.

Maybe it's not even necessarily the woods that are giving him power. Maybe it's just that the further our boys get away from SlendyCentral, the less apt they are to see him with the naked eye. SM seems to be most active in the north east for these guys, so maybe their venture south took them out of the center of the web?

It would seem that Damsel is still active, and has opted to draw attention to the flood disaster in Pakistan.

Oddly her links are a bit messed up. WorldVision is one of those "Sponsor a child" websites, but /PakistanFloods doesn't exist. They are sponsoring children from Pakistan though. Also, IslamicReliefUSA doesn't have a /flood page.

I think this is literally a Metagame gesture and an attempt to use the audience to get some donations and/or attention to the Pakistan floods, which is cool.

No Slenderman in the picture. This is more character building, mostly to show what I assume is Jeff being depressed.

Guys, the only reason Mr. Thin likes the woods is because he can hide in them. They are perhaps his favored hunting ground, but not the source of his power.
