It was a puzzle, they gave us the SP puzzle wav's.

Doesn't seem to be puzzle, at least not in the larger context of the game.

Perhaps we are missing something?

My personal feelings are that they're just organized .wavs. Nothing more. Nothing less. It's just for a confirmation of our order, I think, or for the newbies that might come in this late in the stage of the game.

Sorry, but this is indeed from a while ago. Here's the first mention I found in the search: here from Sept. 14. I found it by searching for "humptydumpty". The link provided assembled .wav files: see the Fireflies Wiki page for a description.
