No, I think you're good, Kendra. The PMs said one person was to bathe him and you did.

Here is what I got:
Quote:
You wait for the ghost to vanish and the mist to disappear. There is nothing you can do to help him, and you don't try. The ghost looks sad as he vanishes. Then the mist around you vanishes, as well. You are back in a battlefield.

The battle is finally turning in your favor. You continue to pummel the ghosts with fruits, encouraging your fellow travelers to keep up the morale. You can beat these bad ghosts.

This is when you notice that Erdu has slipped through your fingers and become several tiny versions of himself. The tiny Erdus are no longer where they were when everything stood still. Did someone spend this time moving things around? Sammy, perhaps? Suddenly rebel ghosts are squeezing the itty bitty Erdus and slamming his faces against other ghosts. Each Erdu looks completely incapacitated. The ghosts' weapons are at the other end of the battlefield. There is chaos as the rebel ghosts begin to lose.

Several of the most accomplished-looking rebels who still have their weapons take on the white-haired ghost and the ghost in a tuxedo. It's an even match at first, until more rebels concentrate their efforts on them, slamming Erdu's tiny heads against them and pushing the two Governor's supporters back.

With all of the little Erdus together in one place, the ghosts holding them let them go, and Erdu reforms into his normal size. Looking furious, he blasts the white-haired ghost first, and her sword flies from her hand.

Then the flannel-wearing ghost appears. He looks freshly clean, and he storms into battle with a pistol.

He runs to two other travelers, gives them instructions, and then dashes into battle with his weapon raised.

And my answer:
Quote:
Shaking my head to clear the freezing manly mist from my mind and notice the tiny Erdus running around as I throw berries into the fray - "A fray! A fray" as my friend Groo would say. As each tiny Erdu is smashed I cheer. But, what is this? Erdu is reforming himself? And not in a good way. I train my eagle-eyed berry pitches right at his head.

Soon the shiny, sparkly freshly cleaned ghost appears and speaks to a couple of other travelers. He then barges headfirst into battle waving a pistol. I briefly wonder how a pistol is going to affect a ghost then remember it is a ghost who is carrying said pistol.

Still feeling frozen I ponder what to do. Keep pitching fruit? Run away? Climb a tree and hide? Rush headlong into the evil Erdu?

I decide to continue pelting Erdu with berries until everyone else who was frozen sort themselves out.

I agree, I think you did smack bang on what was necessary. Go Kendra! Smile

You dash off three arrows and then hurry back to Lairosiel, asking her to hit you with the weapon. Hooboy. This is a tough request to make. But it should work.

You grab the remaining weapons and hold them as she struggles to lift the mace. She steadies herself, shuts her eyes in concentration, and then slams it down on your head.

It hurts. But not as much as you'd expect.

You're in front of the church holding several weapons. There are no ghosts here, but the church is on fire. To your left is a well, and you see that there are many distracted ghosts – and two travelers – standing there. Some look quite singed. A few are coughing.

My Response for today

Quote:
As the mist vanishes and my location changes I look at the church.

The church is on fire!

I see no ghosts or travelers near the church and no immediate way to douse the flames on the church.

I notice the ghosts and travelers near the well, the well may have a source of water that could be of use and my fellow travelers may be in need of various weaponry based on the situation at hand. I take a moment to inventory the weapons I was able to acquire and make my way towards the well, careful to announce my presence with heavy footfalls and a smile on my face

After you thank the ghosts, Koli returns and says, "Lairosiel, more ghosts, heading to the church, need to head them off."

He looks at the mace and cringes.

"Focus on the church and hit me. Later we may need to use that to get back into my smithy, I think there's some armor there that's needed."

Koli grabs several weapons and waits. Then he adds, "Pull back towards the well entrance. Keep your rat friends back. There's still a fairly solid protection circle of the ghost repellent disguised there if you need to retreat. If not just focus on that ring when you hit any bad ghosts... the powder should do the rest."

Well, the rats told you it would work, and Koli seems ready to try, so you lift the mace into the air. You shut your eyes and think of the church. Then you bring the mace down on Koli's head.

It sinks to the floor. Koli's gone. You're alone with the rats.

"Lady Rat Leader," one of them says. "We will take only you wherever you wish to go. Our sources tell us that there is trouble near the Governor's mansion and at the church. The safest place to be is the graveyard. Where would you like to go?"

so what do you think, where is help needed?

The church should be safe from ghosts, or it's about to be attacked again. I scared them away with the almighty power of my horseshoe of terror. We're at the well at the moment, not sure if we can use the water to put out the fire or not.

From memory, the graveyard was right next to the mansion, so you'd be safe over there. Plus we'll all be there at the end of the week anyway.

I think I'm rambling - also, I think we just met Mr Unsound from the previous game.

I don't know if there is water down here, I'm still inside the well and there are a lot of corridors ...

You sort out the message, but it's not the whole thing. "Please help me help you guys," the ghost says. "And then help me come back to life!" He looks sad as he vanishes. Then the mist around you vanishes, as well. You are back in a battlefield.

The battle is finally turning in your favor. You continue to knock into the surprised rebels, keeping an eye on the tiny stray ghosts who were originally dashing all over the circle of trees.

This is when you notice that the Erdus are no longer where they were when everything stood still. Did someone spend this time moving things around? Suddenly rebel ghosts are squeezing the itty bitty Erdus and slamming his faces against other ghosts. Each Erdu looks completely incapacitated. The ghosts' weapons are at the other end of the battlefield. There is chaos as the rebel ghosts begin to lose control of their forces altogether. You take this opportunity to destroy much of the ghosts on their side, taking out anyone nearby.

Several of the most accomplished-looking rebels who still have their weapons take on the white-haired ghost and the ghost in a tuxedo. It's an even match at first, until more rebels concentrate their efforts on them, slamming Erdu's tiny heads against them and pushing the two Governor's supporters back.

My reply:
Quote:
The flannel-wearing ghost and two of my living companions look like they're planning more trouble for Erdu, so I turn to the task of re-arming the white-haired ghost. I fight my way over to where her sword fell, using the same battleplan I've had the whole time – taking out any rebel ghosts I get near.

I try to wipe a hand clean before I pick the weapon up. I don't know if the white-haired ghost can tolerate this fruit yet, and I don't want to inadvertently hurt her. Wielding the new weapon, I rush over to where the white-haired ghost and tuxedo-wearing ghost were cornered. I savagely hack at rebel ghosts around them, trying to free up some space.

"Miss," I say breathlessly, "Are you alright? Here's your weapon back. It might have some of this berry juice on it. Will that be a problem?" I grip the blade, and offer the mostly-clean hilt to her.

Thinking quickly, you hand the photograph to the woman who identifies herself as the wife of Shag, and then you draw a door on the wall with your purple crayon. It's pretty smoky in here, but you can see that your drawing has a lot of personality. Nice job.

You reach for the handle and –

It opens!

You stumble outside in time to see another ghost and a traveler standing there. The traveler helps you to safety while the ghost man cries, "Where is my wife? Where is Billy?" He helps the other ghosts to safety.

All of you convene at the well as the church continues to burn.

In the distance, near the mansion, there is another fire burning.

Stick to the shadows
Earl, up!

Rats, I think I messed up because Nessa handed the white-haired ghost her sword and I attempt to fling what I think is her sword back at her. Here's hoping we can get this sorted out proper!

What TV sent me:
Quote:

You sort out the message and decide to be the one to do it. You rush over to him. Hrm. Giving a strange man a bath. Interesting. You're new to this kind of work, but that doesn't mean you can't handle it.

With the bottle of Sticky Itchers Shower Scrub, and, with one eye on the other ghosts who are frozen in time, you wash the G-rated parts of Earl. That will have to do.

He looks good (and quite manly). You wait.

Across his face creeps a pleasant smile as he vanishes. Then the mist around you vanishes, as well. You are back in a battlefield.

The battle is finally turning in your favor. You continue to pummel the ghosts with fruits, encouraging your fellow travelers to keep up the morale. You can beat these bad ghosts.

There is chaos as the rebel ghosts begin to lose sorely.

Then Earl appears. He looks freshly clean, and he storms into battle with a pistol.

He runs to you and another traveler and says under his breath, "You two, follow me. Stay in the shadows, and cover me! Me and my pistol's got a date with that bad ghost." Then he dashes toward Erdu with his weapon raised.

What I sent in this turn:
Quote:
For a moment I wonder how exactly ghosts can have weapons of deadly force against each other, for aren't they all dead already?

But still, I've seen stranger things so I stay close to the other traveller and say, "Earl's suggestion is probably a good one. Try to keep up with the berries, while I get that lady her sword in a jiffy."

Staying close to the shadows, I spy where the white-haired ghost's sword dropped and quickly snatch it up. Trying to be sneaky and to the shadows I take the sword back with me next to the traveller. I look at the melee and aim the sword for the ghost's hand and say, "Head's up, for the Governor!"

With all my might I heft the sword in the white-haired ghost's direction, hoping she'll catch it and I can dash around to lay more berry cover fire.

I picked the wrong day to quit practicing throwing things into battle to white-haired ghosts.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot I didn't respond

Quote:
Glorious, non-burning outside! Oh, the open smoldering air that fills my living lungs! Frabjous day!!!

Wait. I try to get myself together. There are still things to do.

I thank my fellow traveler for the assistance, and look at the man-ghost standing with the traveler. "You! Your wife?!?! You must be Shag." I take his ghostly hand in mine, and take him to the woman-ghost to whom I had given the picture of the boy, Billy.

To both Shag and Mrs. Shag I say, "We have to fight to save your son and the village. Your boy is very special, and Pat said that there might be an exception clause to whatever is going on over here because of how special your boy is."

"Where is Billy?"

I frown. My moment of clarity is brief and inarticulate.

I think TV generally goes by who sent their email in first, because I've done the same action as other players in the past and I would get a response like, "Before you could [blahblahblah], another traveler does it!" It also depends on what the PM(s) feel like doing. Laughing

Quote:
You dash at Erdu and then reprimand Mrs. Nibbles. However, it was Erdu who had appeared to be a dragon momentarily, not Mrs. Nibbles. She growls hungrily as she looks at Erdu again.

As you are conversing with the cat, you notice The Great Wizard of the Neighborhood go into a meditative state and say, "There is unrest in the forest, there is trouble in the trees - for the ghosts are much to flighty, and the fruits destroy their knees." Just then, the trees stand up and begin fighting the rebel ghosts, clearing a path for you and the flannel-wearing ghost.

Following bravely behind the ghost with the pistol, one of your traveler companions throws fruits at any nearby ghosts.

Then the Great Wizard waves his hand, and a large, ghostly boulder falls on top of Erdu. The Wizard smiles and says, "Beep, beep." Erdu, dazed, tosses the boulder off of him.

The traveler jumps out to distract Erdu just as the ghost with the pistol charges forward and cries, "For the Village!" The ghost unloads several times into Erdu's transparent body.

The bullets, of course, are not normal bullets, and they rip through Erdu's transparent form, tearing him apart in a ghastly way. He staggers backward, his flesh opened, his eyes wide. Everyone stops fighting and turns to watch.

A ghost in a tuxedo – wearing a flower – cries out, "Erdu! My brother!" but he does not run forward to help.

For several seconds, Erdu stumbles around in a circle, looking at each one of you. Then, just before he falls over, he opens his mouth and releases an enormous belch of fire. Out of his throat soars a massive dragon that blasts more fire onto the ground below. Erdu, barely more than a whisper at this point, says, "Capture the travelers. Let the ghost with the pistol decide whether he will truly save the living." Then Erdu is gone forever. The dragon instantly roasts the ghost in the tuxedo, and he vanishes, as well.

The trees return to their original positions and stop moving.

With the dragon backing them, the remaining rebel ghosts charge toward you and your friends. One ghostly woman with long, muscular arms pulls your hands behind your back and holds you still, though you struggle. She holds your ghost cat to your chest so that both of you are pinned. You are helpless, and so is everyone else, it seems. The ghost with the white hair has fallen to her knees. Her hair is almost completely burned off of her head.

The rebels turn to the ghost in the flannel, who is standing, dumbstruck, in the middle of the scene. The ghost gripping one of your companions shouts, "Earl DeRosa! It is your choice now! If you let us destroy these travelers, then you will be our next Governor! If you want to save them, then you must let us destroy you. We will annihilate your soul and never return to this village again."

Earl's mouth drops. He looks at each one of you.

There are several seconds of silence before he drops his head and says, "Guys, tell Randy to take good care of Sticky Itchers. I guess I won't be comin' back this time." He wipes the back of his sleeve across his face. "Take me with you, rebel ghosts. These people don't deserve to suffer any more."

He closes his eyes and waits.

Then, with two massive flaps of its wings, the dragon opens its jaws and pours fire down upon Earl's head. Within seconds, he is gone.

So are the rest of the rebel ghosts. The dragon remains, perched atop one of the trees.

The ghost who has lost her hair approaches the place where Earl once stood. She waits and moment and then salutes. Several others do the same.

You have won the war.

Behind you, a gate opens. It leads to a graveyard.

Mrs. Nibbles looks famished, and she meows loudly at you as if for permission.

My Reply :
Quote:

I make an assessment of my fellow travelers and make sure nobody needs assistance. I tend to any wounded and help everyone to their feet. Then, placing Mrs. Nibbles lightly down on the ground, I tell her to go get something to eat, but to be sure to return, as I am quite fond of this curious little new friend I have made
