Keats, Yeats - they're not even pronounced the same so why do I always get them confused. Good work on the Tarot. Wonder if a mention of the autumn equinox is a clue that our actions at the meet will have a major effect? This year it's the 23rd Sept

Edit - new clue from O

The 22nd, the eve of the equinox, is the time of inspection, and certifying of the gates - the sunset of the last day will determine the gates' pathway.
You are correct that we will not be in Westminster, but at a place where Blake turned from Christianity to something more pagan, a traitor to the cause.
Rest well - we will meet in 17 days - an army of light against those that would prefer the darkness.

Blake was living in Lambeth when he produced 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell', in which he began to describe his alternative mythology. Lambeth Palace is, I believe, just around the corner from the Houses of Parliament.

I thought he was at 28 Poland Street when he wrote that. He also got involved in the great east cheap New Jerusalem Swedenborg church.

Well, he lived in Poland St until 1791, but TMOHAH wasn't completed until 1793. You pays your money...

I shall side with your opinion - I'm sure more clues will waft our way shortly to help us narrow it down.

Now, here's the question. What is Jayden planning for the same time? Has anyone gained his trust enough to get an invite yet?

EDIT: looking at non iPhone version of Google Maps, when you zoom right in the pin is on Hill Gardens. There's only a few places in London this can refer to - one of which is in Paddington and the other is the aforementioned place with the Pergola in Hampstead. Nw3 7ex. Not sure how or if either link to Blake, other than the famous drawing of Blake in Hampstead and that he often stayed on the edge of the Heath in the summer.

Lambeth, however.... St Thomas Hospital is in Lambeth and is part of Guys where the statue of Keats mention by O is. I'm soundly confused now as to where this meeting is going to be. It's done my brain in, guv.

Sorry for the double post but more clues from Aspen

The email was titled "ears cut short, and his tail cut long...."

Quote:
Understandably I cannot type the exact meeting place but you should know that Blake listened to They Might be Giants [half the time anyhow].
When he went for walks, well the view was magnificent - indeed, fit for many to change minds and hearts perhaps.
A traitor, Blake became grandmaster - aptly on this hill.
Where the Order will choose the gate to be fixed though, unsure - somewhere old and powerful no doubt - somewhere where blood and bone may be.
I see that Orpheus is discussing poetry with you. That should be entertaining. Do not lose focus on what we set out though to do my friend.
Yours,
Aspen

I actually think you're right, Dagada.

Blake started writing HaH whilst living at Poland St, and just down the road was the King's Arms pub (now a gay bar) where the Ancient Order of the Druids met in the 1790s. There is no evidence that Blake joined the Order, however they claim that he became Grandmaster.

A famous letter appeared in a magazine at the time (in 1792) describing an event on Primrose Hill which took place on the Autumn equinox.

I think Primrose Hill is therefore the meeting place...IMHO. Keats, whilst I admire his brilliance, is a red herring here I think.

A lovely place to watch the sunset Very Happy

New message from Aspen:

Quote:
The internet is a confusing place. Let us talk then, not reflect on youth or early love.
This hill *can* live without you, as it is, in this country, both common and lorded over.
Blake wandered lonely as a bard, but we will unite and prevent the dawn being darkened.

2292010 exactitude where Blake and half of TMBG talked.
Instructions will be there. I will not.

Reasons will be made clearer on an unlucky day, perhaps sooner.

The 'They Might Be Giants' reference is to John Linnell, a painter and friend of William Blake.

Linnell, of course, drew William Blake At Hampstead, where Hill Garden is located.

It's all coming together nicely. Smile

But, the Hill Garden closes at 5pm...so it definitely rules that out (unless Aspen wants you to break in Laughing )

I think you're right about Primrose Hill. As you mentioned before about Blake being initiated there, Wikipedia mentions a group having its meeting there too. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorsedd. Gorsedd means Bard.

Now - how do we extract the exact location from that number?

Edit: this webpage has much information. http://www.philipcoppens.com/celtic_london.html

It mentions Parliment Hill, also known as Traitor's Hill, which is interesting in conjunction with where the original marker was placed and the repeated use of the word Traitor to refer to Blake. But then it goes on to link Blake pretty specifically to Primrose Hill.

Quote:
On 21 June 2009, a plaque was laid on the top of Primrose Hill to mark the site of the first meeting of the Gorsedd of the Bards of the Island of Britain in its modern form and to commemorate its founder, Iolo Morganwg.

Iolo Morganwg was a poet, political radical and one of the founders of the Unitarian movement in Wales. The Gorsedd now lives on as part of the annual cultural festival, The National Eisteddfod.

The 'Bards of the Island of Britain' was the name that the Druidic Order were known by in their meetings (re: the 1792 magazine article). Their first meeting was allegedly in 1792.

Agree that the references to 'traitor' are confusing the issue somewhat.

EDIT:

Just re-read all the posts and e-mails again and noticed this:

Quote:

Commons and Lords = Parliament Hill?

But then again, Bunhill Fields - a common burial ground - is the place where Blake is buried - in unconsecrated grounds.

Bunhill used to be 'bone-hill' - literally a hill for dumping bones (and quite possible blood too).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunhill_Fields

I am aware that I'm going round in circles... Laughing

Apologies for double post (again), but....

How could I have been so dumb? Bang Head

Parliament Hill it must be?

Not impressed - we pay you enough to keep this server running. We even gave that bonus that while ago for your course, and now - now we have to start afresh?
I do hope the files will be uploaded again soon.

I do NOT like to be disappointed.

FROM PERSONAL HANDSET #014:

Apologies Mr Doyle, I've only recently been able to run a full diagnostic on the server. It turns out that there was a large power surge from the storms in London, striking a main hub. Short of it - all data was reset to 'starting status' - just amended all permissions.
as pre-arranged though, all the original data has been backed up so will upload as files in the next few days. Is there anything urgent required? Otherwise it should all be running as soon as possible. And I am very appreciative of all the help an sponsorship I have received it - hence answering as quickly as possible.

Thanks once again.
B.

We may have visitors soon, people snooping about. The chat monitoring I'd set up to monitor main channels flagged 'oborot'. Few discussing SBG and 'the book of werewolves' – entered chat as myself, saw no reason not to – they seem to know little. Don't know of our site – yet. Though get feeling that they were hiding something. Sent observation bug into their computers to monitor their communications.

We are to increase all security on gate guardianship. With potential enemies and allies both increasing their recruitment, we need to double our efforts to ensure that the plants grow to their best. As such, can we all ensure any concerns are voiced here as soon as possible?
Thank you.
Jayden.

It is under consideration already. Please do not question me, or my actions though again Chloe. There is a reason your gate is the easiest to guard and it is not due to coincidence. Tommy's blood has sealed it open for some time yet to come, obelisk or not. Be grateful for that come Yule.

My tone was harsh Chloe, but only for your own good. Nothing to forgive - I am just concerned for my own gate - the Poplar, while it is just a few old men and women thinking they can do god, are starting to recruit.
Nothing must intervene on the 22nd of this month as mine, as we all know, is strong key for the others.
Still, Anubis should walk amongst us that night and we will drink freely from then on in Albion.
