I did have a thought. Maybe the huge delay isn't just laziness or something. One thing I can congratulate TribeTwelve on so far is their excellent use of visual effects, both in props (Großman) and editing (the pool moment in Night Recordings), so part of me wonders if maybe we're getting a really ambitious video coming down the pipe. And this same part of me that's no doubt setting myself up for disappointment wonders if this means we'll finally see a (good) tentacled Slenderman. Unlikely, but if it happens then the delay will have been totally worth it and I will declare TribeTwelve to have officially become good.

Wishful thinking: the most fantastic thing ever in my mind would be if ultimately several of the slendervlogs were related -- that the tenuous links/shoutouts we've seen were intentionally placed to show us connections.

Here's how I'd love to see them merge: each tells a different aspect of the Slenderman myth.

Marble Hornets laid the groundwork, JAFool showed that Slendy doesn't just have a vendetta against Alex/Jay. EverymanHYBRID shows what happens when Slendy isn't taken seriously, and TribeTwelve gives us backstory.

To put together a sort of timeline,

• JAFool happens. I place this first based tenuously on the tower carving in TT -- Slendy replicated what he knows was a sign of terror for Matt/Logan (frantic scrawlings like the notebook). It also appears that his M.O. here was similar to the original Slendy myths (tree-tossing, etc). Perhaps Matt was a descendant of one of the soldiers in the Black Forest Karl mentioned? (see below)
  
  
• TribeTwelve introduces the Grossmann -- a creature of German legend who stalks his victims. After his encounter with Karl, the Grossmann follows him to America. Karl is too vigilant -- able to detect the GM's presence (see Grandpa Karl video), he is always on guard and someone able to defray the GM's attacks. (it is sometime in this time period that the SA-referenced library fire occurs and the name "Slenderman" is applied to the Grossmann). Angry, the GM captures Karl's grandson, Milo, and begins to stalk Noah. Noah's investigation is fruitful (he discovers much about Slendy) but is finally driven mad and disappears.
  
  
• Marble Hornets. Having lost Noah, the Grossmann becomes increasingly bold and malevolent, and begins to hunt a new target -- Alex. The "always holding a camera" connection (weak, yeah, I know, okay) is enough to remind him of Milo/Noah. A similar pattern begins to arise between Alex and Jay -- Alex's paranoia is noticed later by Jay, who posts it to YouTube, Slendy somehow notices Jay's investigation and begins stalking Jay as well. Fortunately (perhaps) for Jay, someone else recognizes this pattern: Noah. Under the guise of ToTheArk (Noah/Ark? See?), Noah begins aiding Jay (in his own deranged way)
  
  
• EverymanHYBRID happens roughly in parallel, starting a bit after MH. The HYBRIDs are fascinated by MH, and want to garner internet popularity/views for their fitness show using the Slenderman. Slendy is not amused.
  

Interestingly, all of this would paint a picture of a German fairytale creature who just wants to be left alone to Black Forest mass-murder in peace (thus his tracking down of everyone who draws attention to him).

All wishful thinking though.
