It still won't work for me. My PC isn't strong enough to keep up with the flash programming (it runs 100% while on that page).

A few times the webcam comes on, I see some green lines pass over the face, then "access denied". I didn't see that once yesterday...

Ugh, I can't afford a new computer... Sad

Could someone do me a favour and get the "In Reply To" transcribed? The images I've seen so far aren't very readable... i'd like to throw those codes through some deciphering... They both end with a "=" so i'm pretty sure it's Base64... But unless you get it transcribed perfectly, the decrypt will come out gibberish...

ETA: OK, maybe not so bad to read:
YnJ1dGFsaXR5a25vd3Nub2JvdW5kYXJpZXNncmVlZGtub3dzbm9saW1pdHNwZXJ2ZXJzaW9ua25vd3Nub2JvcmRlcnM=
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The other one is a bit tougher... Still working. I know its a web address though...
Here's what I have (but it's not working correctly):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
aHR0cDovL2NsLmx5LzA0MmE3NzRkNGRmYml1YjJiOWZhL2NvbnRlbnQ=
which Base64's to:
http://cl.ly/042a774d4dfbiub2b9fa/content
Which at the moment is an invalid URL Sad

ETA: I think I still need that better screen cap... I've tried every permutation I believe would be possible. Maybe their content expired??? Or possibly someone made a typo in the content? (or maybe I need new glasses)

The clip is from http://mobile.thegodslake.com/qr5.mp4

The picture looks like it might need to be put through the imaging recognition but, alas, work still doesn't want me to have a webcam for some reason. :p

I sent an e-mail over to Tristan Balfour:
Quote:

Hey there Shizz,

That's a terrific question actually. This company has had the biggest public relations footprint in this area in years--and not without incident it would seem after seeing what happened to that poor surveyor.

I'm going to run a few searches and ask a few people if i can get some answers about their past projects.  Our region's people should know what we're getting into.

I'll be in contact.

Best,

Tristan

I'm doing some research on some of the top companies in Gods Lake.  Would you have any background information on IronCladProperties?  Would you know of any of their previous developments?

Thanks,

Great idea Shizzire! I know that it was in Tristan's article that we found the hidden link. Are we sure that he's the website administrator? Whoever uploaded the article is the one who planted the link. I guess it's possible that each author uploads their own articles. I think I'll send Tristan an email and ask.

Tristan has responded:
Quote:
Hi there,

Well i tried looking into past Iron Clad affairs and they seem pretty clean so far.

I also tried just running searches through old databases using Iron Clad executives as search terms and Herbert Bonnabee's name came up. I fished out the news article and it turns out it's from sometime in 1906. It must be a different Herbert Bonnabee (it was probably a common name) but either way i scanned what i could of it and have attached the file.

I'll keep looking though as i get the time.

Tristan

Itty Bitty Recap

Double post, two days apart. Anyways, it seems that Declan received an email with a picture of the Inukshuk that's located outside the McCord Museum in Montreal.

Quote:
I just received this via an email with no reply address. The message body and the image's name said the same thing:

Kiskinwâswêwitam pehowin pihci êkota mwêhci

It should be possible to translate that, i believe it's woodland cree if i'm not mistaken.

Does anyone know where this image is front? It's clearly an urban location.

These past few days are littered with unsolved mysteries, but I'm not a believer in coincidence–they must surely all be related somehow!

The language was identified as Cree and translated by Shirrize. Apparently it's a message telling us there's something hidden in the Inukshuk.

Also it was speculated by several people that the boarding pass Declan posted had an encoded message across the bottom. Thanks to Azurewolf, the message was decoded: "Spilled blood will start the cycle anew." Talk about harbinger of doom. Shocked

Sorry for the <snip>, this forum doesn't lend itself to long messages, for me at least...
Good recap Enaxor. I have been messaging Tristan Balfour at the GLP, and have failed to updated everyone here (sorry, it's been a busy few weeks).

Hi Tristan,
I feel terrible prodding you with so many questions. However, I believe there may be a greater connection between IronClad, Herbert Bonnabee, and Caldron and Co. Especially with the "History of Technology" including exhibits on Caldron, sponsored by IronClad? Would there be any way to get some info on this Exhibit? What's being shown? A connection between IronClad and Caldron?
Thanks
Shizzire

To which he/she responded:
Quote:
Hi there Shizzire,

Don't feel terrible at all, i get calls and emails all day long i'm totally used to it. Smile

Interesting question though about Caldron and Co. and Iron Clad properties, i'm not sure there ever was a relationship, but after finding that article for you perhaps Bonnabee's father was Caldron's partner? It's the only thing that would make sense given his age i suppose.

Maybe i'll try and head to the exhibit this week and see if i can't get anymore information on the company though. It opens today. If companies like Hudson's Bay and Caldron and Co are being featured, i would think there's got to be a lot of info there to fill in some of the gaps. Probably a few one of a kind items and artifacts. I'll bring my audio recorder, a hand scanner and my camera and hope i don't get kicked out. It wouldn't be the first time. I think they find me too curious. Everyone around here does.

Tristan

So we might be in for some audio clues, and some more pictures to analyze!

Désolé pour le double post.

My friend in Montreal retrieved this from the statue. There is more apparently, and he is going back tomorrow.

Could the beads be morse code?

ETA: I've tried forward/reverse and flipped forward/reverse and no plain text (thank goodness rumkin makes quick work of that).
Code:

More e-mails from Tristan

Continuing on with my earlier thread of e-mails, I postured:
Quote:
Perhaps an obituary on Caldron? Or even Herbert Bonnabee's father?

He responded:
Quote:
That's a fantastic idea. I'll see if i can't get access to city records as well. Might take a little while though because I'm a bit swamped at the moment. But i can at least get in on covering the museum event this week if i ride shotgun with Wanda, that shouldn't be a problem. She was there today apparently and just loving it.
