So, after trying several different techniques, this is the most I could get out of the blocked out part of "descendent" (which i just now noticed is misspelled).

EDIT:
Also, Ripbane - I would suggest that rather than HS drawing material from Aquarion, Aquarion draws from the same Greek mythos and astrology that HS does, so there's gonna be similarities across the board. But you never know, I suppose. I just wouldn't focus on it as a direct connection.

Also, Twitter weirdness:

At around 8:30pm on the 18th, WoC tweeted the following:

What's strange is that now the tweet is gone. Either he deleted it because something was wrong, or he intentionally left it up for a short period of time. Who knows.

Also, five days after I tweeted him "Hope to have you feeling better soon, friend", he replied to me with "Thankings, Eumenoid!"

A quick googling found nothing for "eumenoid", but did bring up Eumenes, a Greek general and scholar. At first I took it as a compliment, until I read further and found this:
"Eumenes can be seen as a tragic figure, a man who seemingly tried to do the right thing but was overcome by a more ruthless enemy and the treachery of his own soldiers."
Now I'm not so sure...

His latest tweet was this: @Tauo_A Qurk?
When I hovered my mouse over @Tauo_A, it said the account did not exist and I got excited for a moment that it could be a clue. But when I clicked on it, it said the user had been suspended. So it was probably jumbled spam that he replied to with more nonsense.
I only mention it so no one else spends hours inputting hatshoe.org/Tauo_A.jpg/gif/txt/png/html combinations.

HS deliberately spreads out clues amongst people to encourage teamwork. I am positive many crucial pieces to puzzles have been emailed but lost in the abyss. You don't have to participate in the endless speculation, but just dump what you have. It'll help. Thanks!

 		Whoa great job guys! I'm worried we wont get the missing pages without a certain number of players since we've each been given one and there appear to be two more, hopefully they're on the site somewhere and we figure it out.

Seeing as this seems mostly astrology based so I did what anyone would do and cast a chart for today (Jupiter's opposition).

This site gives out all the aspects of the planets in relation to each other for any date/time/location combination. I did one for San Francisco at midnight as I'm not sure how relevant time and place is this data may not be correct.



Then the phrase from dontstopbelieving.jpg popped in my head.

So I guessing the jumbled word is either opposition, sextile, conjunction, trine, or square. Most likely opposition from the looks of it. This also leads me to thinking whatever mechanism is behind his time travel it's dependent on these specific types of celestial alignments.

@airportdisco I saw that tweet too, I didn't notice he had deleted it though. I only remember because after I saw he emailed me back I checked all his sites. Well, that and how he misspelled Sobodan.

Anyone have any idea what the blasphemer comment or the color of the cats means?

 		Great work! I gotta run into work for a while, but I wanted to get this out of my head before I did.
This is all making me think of HS's first email to me:

It is pretty interesting though that he keeps using the word "disk" and "discus". I feel like I'm just not seeing something.

@Airportdisco I'm just wondering what is required to actually be the "First" and what you get out of it, responsibility of some sort I suppose. I was scanning the early messages to refresh my memory and they seemed to actually solve things and yet, no one was declared the First.

@Pistachio This is kind of related I guess, but I just found out that a homburg is a style of hat. Coincidence? I think not! haha.

On another note I feel like I may just be grasping at straws or hearing what I want to hear but in the "Domicile Forensic" vid from Verumbris it sounds like he says "you have made one too many errors...GREEK(?)" Since this is a response to a video with a Roman pantheon god's name (Diespiter) maybe he was upset that Hat didn't use the Greek pantheon equivalent?. This also brings me back to the blasphemer comment on descendent.jpg Hat was blaspheming, or maybe one of the players.. who knows. I'm probably over analyzing.

I think anyone with better image analyzing techniques than myself should try and decipher the obscured text on ascendant.jpg and descedent.jpg

I'm reposting a crop of the ascendent bit for anyone interested.
I Kind of see "preferably Here" as the third line but I'm only sure about the here part.

 		@Toaster I went back to through the thread to when the Verumbris vids first show up. In the post that I think introduces them introduces them as being in an email from Hats himself.

Since you're the one he sent the video link to, what did you say to him to provoke that? I know in a few emails he's mentioned "challengers" before.
I too thought Verumbis or whatever was a game jacker...his videos don't seem to have the quiet artistic elegance and subtlety that everything HS does seems to have. They're just kind of aggressively obfuscatory.
But who knows at this point.

As for your dream theory...I've been thinking something similar. Especially with how he responded to Pistachio's email back on page 64.

That sent me on a whole theory about the twitter account that i'll try to explain, for what it's worth.
So the dreams are memories...he's dreaming about things that have happened to him but viewing himself, the way you sometimes can watch yourself in a dream.
So he is, in fact, Carl. But he's watching Carl, which is him. Which would explain why he seems to not like him much, yet has his best interests in mind. He's watching himself make past mistakes (obviously a relationship that ended badly) and it pisses him off because what's done is done.
I dunno...it goes way deeper than that in my head, but it's not really worth rambling about since it's really just a completely unverifiable hunch that's probably way off.

Also, has anyone heard from HS in a few days? I was really hoping some major shit would go down during the equinox. (Or maybe that's why we haven't heard from him...maybe he's somewhere else in time right now and unable to communicate...jesus...this fkin guy....)

I went back to Sheldon's email and was looking through it again. The email from HS reads as follows:

I don't know why I didn't remember this and never put it together, but Sheldon is the first. And judging from the first line, being the First isn't a good thing.

Also, i sent an email to the escape consultant...don't know if anyone has tried this or not. Probably. But it couldn't hurt I suppose.

I took that as a message to the first person who cracked the password. You could be right though. I like this whole he is watching himself from a different timeline theory. That also makes the revelation that another person is watching carl even weirder. Makes everything even more confusing since it was a pretty accepted idea that the players were Carl somehow.

But wait, didn't he say he used to be Seldon (http://www.hatshoe.org/terminus.html) so Seldon is Carl too? Maybe Sheldon=/=Seldon....

I too was expecting something to happen these last few days. I last emailed him assuming he would be doing some "traveling" and attempted to hint at what I was working on, but I haven't gotten an email from him since ascendent.jpg. Sad
