Is it possible that ALL of Tom's dialogue has been reversed Japanese?

Please take a look at this.

This is a screen shot of the movie "No Country for Old Men".

I was watching it the other night and I thought of you, SpyGuy.

You see his hat? Does it look familiar? It's a cheap cowboy hat available almost everywhere.... why? Because it's cheap. I found one at the local hat dealer near Washington Square park yesterday.

It's a cowboy hat. That's all. No braille, no secret message, no boolean code, no secret math, no algorithm. Nada. Nothing. Zip.

It's a friggin' cowboy hat and that's it. [/img]

R-train, Whitehall station escalators.
The ship is Hudson's Half Moon. Even though the panels are on both the up and down escalators, all the seagulls on both escalators fly up.

Nice find.

The chinese finger trap in the first episode is, I think, a hint from the puppetmasters.

Why?

Because the harder you fight a finger trap, the tighter it gets. It's only when you relax that it lets you go!

So....simplicity is key!

No!! It is comedy and "homages", just like alot of the videos and nonclues.
In the final episode he is saying things from Video Games. Ex: The first two tings he says is the words that RYU (Street Fighter) makes when he does his special moves. Later it is a Dragon Ball Z reference....etc..

keeping it simple

Go back and listen to Mulligan from the start.

Go look at the transcripts from Fellow (make sure to listen to the videos to make sure of everything he says and does)

Why did he toss his spyglass into the water?

What the heck is potato mentioned for?

I could have sworn that some of that gunfire in episode 2 were morse code too.

This might be it... another homage: Star Trek TNG

I think this is probably right. But I did notice that the trap (Mulligan's, not Data's) was the same colors as the "flag off a merchant vessel". Of course, maybe they just had some felt left over after making the flag.

winner

A lot of people are saying they found it, but I spoke to the guy who does it and he says a lot of people are trying to fake people out. No winner yet!

I just find it weird that yesterday the pirates posted on twitter and facebook that they would let us know if someone found the treasure and we haven't heard a yes or no from them yet. One would think they could be able to check within the most an hour and then report back to us. Sounds fishy!
