Hi all.

It looks like Truthseeker5314 is a lot like Oscar Obregon and Truthhack.com was for FlashForward.

The flight number of the plane was Avias 514 so the inserted "3" in TruthSeeker5314 number sequence could refer to the reversed E that was used in the show title as a number three.

I'm assuming we still don't have the password to access the restricted section of The Event's website...I tried the obvious iterations of truthseeker and 5314 to no avail.

I found this from a Hulu "behind the scenes" clip called Inostranka. It is a stenciled "1138" on a snowmachine. I think it's safe to assume that even if aliens are not in the series future humanity will be. The chance of 1138 coming up randomly is one in ten thousand so I think it's a clue to George Lucas' classic of THX 1138. Either that or it's an homage and not a real link to the TE mythos. It remains to be seen if this short film by Lucas will have a place in The Event's mythos but perhaps this is a hint of a future linkup. Seeing "Eve" within the series title makes one consider a dystopian future but that's a wag.



Btw, the Inostranka base seems to be inside of the mountain's (volcano's) caldera.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new to this forum and ARGs in general. Just saw the first episode and I think this is a series I will definitely be watching.

I have a question though, has it been confirmed that this will be a proper ARG? It doesn't seem to me like a proper trailhead has been found yet. The truthseeker5314 blog has that stupid NBC logo there which totally ruins the alternate reality aspect of it all. There's nothing obvious in the episode either. The marine signal flags at Coral Gables are all in alphabetical order, which is lame, they should spell out something! There's no aviasair.com or helioscruises.com. To me it seems more like all the stuff on the web is just some cheap add on stuff with no real game to it. Or what do you think?

i'm still interested in watching the show, but there are too many amateurish elements for the arg that have turned me off from it...particularly the horribly written passenger emails and texts from the blog post Evidence Found.

all the commenters avatars are the nbc logo???

and then tweet nags like this: "An event will happen tonight. Tune in to an NBC station at 9/8 tonight. Potential presidential address."

i'm really hoping its not an official arg attached to the game, because if this is going to be an example of the kinds of transmedia projects to come from the networks, then....i has a sad

Hey alphabox, that's really cool what you found! Those high definition satellite images sure look sharp I'm pretty much convinced now that this isn't an arg in the proper sense, it's something aimed at a wider (and possibly dumber) audience. So I think there are just going to be more tweets from the characters and some extra background stuff from truth seeker, but nothing to really get excited about.

So I'm going to stop looking at that friggen map now, since it's probably going to be just a big waste of time. Oh, I did find the great cthulhu in the left bottom corner though!

but also cuz he gave a shout out to a mate, Jo Garfein, a bril entertainment writer who will likely be writing about The Event herself.

I'm taking the non-linear narrative style as a clue that the mythos will include non-linear time (the same road FlashForward was taking). They "cut up" the story to present us effects before their causes. As an intuitive leap I'll say the event might be the technology singularity and "next step" in mankind.

I'd like to see what that video has to show us.

The photos show many dark objects outside the Quonset huts that should be snowmobiles (called snowmachines in Alaska). That would indicate the Q-huts are troop barracks. There are also (based on the shadows) central observation towers near the Q-huts. We know the main rectangular structures are where the detainees and laboratories are. A ramp is projecting out of the upper right one and lower right one and the trucks nearby are backed up to indicate either an unloading or loading operation.
