Re: Captain $1869
if a clue, shouldn't the other pairs of names and dollar amounts be also?

Maybe I'll get started on a Wiki page, with CLUES, and HOMAGES so we can post notes?

I wonder if we have enough people here to test the wisdom of crowds in evaluating the clue theories.

Spaniard is looking at the story these videos tell. I appreicate reading what you have to say, it goes deep. However, I am still so frustrated that the clues cannot be put together. I thought at one point (after Ep. 3) I was in Forest Hills but what good does that do if it is not a specific place. Why would we go back to Manhattan during 3 if we just left Central Park. This is why I am still hanging out at the Maine Mon.

I'm thinking that if we see the treasure chest in every video, than it was never lost at all...I know you are not going to like this frame of thought. I'm sorry.

Cap'n Slim:

What does the Captain say at the end of video 8? It turns out that treasure was with us the whole time. Don't we see (technically) the treasure chest in the beg. of Episode 8? Didn't the puppets say that if we look hard we will see the chest in every video? So wouldn't that mean they never parted with it in the first place?

That comes from the FAQs on the website when asked to prove the existence of the gold:

"However…if you stick around, and look hard, we promise that you will see each and every one of the ten thousand dollar coins in our videos. That's the best we can do."

what do you make of what is in Tutty's hammock?
is it a manila folder?

The picture of Tutty is on the wall.

What is that in his hammock?

Is it a manila folder?

If so, what is it doing there?

Consider the possibility that there are instructions for redemption conveyed by either tape recorded message (if the right number is called) or by mail.

Back episodes of Moonlighting are available in your local library system if anyone wants to check out "Under the Rainbow" in Season 2.

What is the point of the name MADDIE HAYES? Just a homage to a fun tv series before these blokes were watching such shows? Or are people involved in the production referring to shows on which they worked. (I don't know -- I'm a sucker for a theory that is all warm and fuzzy).

nah

There's a treasure. I get what you are saying, but I have to disagree.

They also say that this is a "treasure hunt you can play online" (Mulligan)

So... if you can play it online, there's really NO NEED to go to the parks or anywhere for that matter until you FIND the location.

But I will agree to this... this hunt has given my legs, eyes and brain a true workout. I've been ALL OVER the area... checking things out, getting a feel for a certain hunch. I've done and seen things that have been in my own backyard for years and I've completely ignored them. So, YES! NYC IS a treasure...

But there's real gold in a real chest and I really want it.

One of you posters that I have followed from the beg. better find it!

If I dedicate anymore time to this I will probably be divorced or sent to the looney house and my kids may forget that I even exist. This is not right.

Now, onto the next treasure...anyone want to help, I need help deciphering the Beale Codes!

I still am hung up on the footprint that Mulligan drew in episode one. He said it was the most important clue. Then he tweeted something about his clue that was drawn in crayons. Does anybody have any idea what this footprint refers to?

I think this and the Crow's Nest is the key to finding the treasure.
