oops - I see now that it is Captain's hammock
not Tutty's

"IMO, its supposed to be a pillow, but perhaps it is a folder..
And is that tutty's hammock? Or captains?"

Ah, yes. Of course, it is the Captain's hammock, not Tutty's. (That's why he has his beloved picture of tutty on the wall.)

I recently lost a transponder car key that was going to cost $1300 to replace. I thought it was so ridiculous that I refused to replace it and the car sat idle for 3 months.

Then it turned out to be right where I should have looked in the first place.

When Captain says the treasure was there all along, I think he might have had the same sort of epiphany as I had when my wife brought me the key that she found where I dropped it. He was going to explain himself but then the roof caved in.

I also noticed.....

... that the picture of Tutty disappears seconds before the roof pieces fall down.

Continuity mistake or on purpose?

I'll buy Port of Cortland as Columbus Circle. See the picture below, and it is clearly the north end of the park, which suggests to me there is validity of the theory about Subways. Then, when Fafa appears on the blue screen, he says "we are on the right track". The only blue line train that stops at CC is the C.

Now here is where more spurious analysis comes in:
- Going South, 3.5 miles (28 Furlongs) puts you at about Canal St. (But then again, they say that's "too far".

Uhm...Columbus Circle? North end? can't get url to load...

I'm not looking too deeply (I know CC is the SW corner). But I think that's one of the obvious flags that the wall behind Larry is a map. Maybe you do go North, in which case the C takes you 28 furlongs to about 128th St (125th St. stop) -- this is north of Columbia U btw.

Maybe the image tags are where the link is screwing up... try this:

"Gifts?"

This forum seems to have lost it's way without FellowTraveler. However...

Cap'n Slim has been pretty "on-the-level." His insights have been quite helpful. Listen to him.

CommonSense has been giving all of you the way on how to find these "gifts" for days. Pay attention, wrestling fans. I know I will.

And now for my 2 cents worth...

I've always been a proponent of "process of elimination." As in, where it WON'T BE. I literally have maps of all 5 boros printed out from Google and hanging on my wall. My computer room now looks like the background to the Enterprise's bridge lol my theory is that you may be surprised at what you find when you simply scratch out the geography of where it won't be. I haven't done so yet, but I planned to.

Now about these "gifts." Do they exist in all of the videos, or just a few?

on the subject of gifts

I have been confused by what has been referred to as gifts, I was under the impression a few folks had some physical clue. I was confused because the FAQ's said there were none. While I enjoy the sharing of ideas that happened here at the beginning this contest, I realize that at this point it is a contest, and people will hold onto any advantage they have until they feel they can no longer do anything with it.
I did not mean to seem like someone who just wanted to be given answers, I enjoy figuring things out on my own as much as the next person.

All that being said I still wouldn't object to a gentle nudge in a helpful direction Wink

Thanks, man! I try.

CommonSense

Get in touch. I think we can solve beautiful gifts together. Let's get game theory-y.

All I am saying is.. RE-READ the rules, and think outside the box. You guys seem to take the rules too "literally" ...or maybe not "literally' enough. Pirates can be very sneaky in their "rules wording". CAPN said it best before.... they didn't have to "leave physical clues LYING around"...

You're correct -- I was confused for a moment given that the A/D run express to 125th St., but the stop before that is CC. The 2/3 skip CC. I need another cup of coffee.
