Huh, I was hoping for some kind of hint at what was going to happen, or what it was going to look like... well, good luck to him! Glad this forum has been of use, though I'm sure the SA forums have the better gist of core info.

Yeah me too, but he just replied with "Not yet, i want to make sure it's worthy of the slenderman myth if i release something." But he gave me a little plot:

There is a girl named Betul, she becomes and avid Slenderman - fan.
On one day her little brother is missing, and all the signs indicate that the Slenderman was behind it.

He also asked me to say that soon Betul the lead, will go on this forum and ask some questions, this is for a piece in the movie.

And i asked if it will be like the Marble hornets, and he said that it's more a mix of a cinematic feel combined with a bit handheld stuff.

Oh and he will be making an account him self so that i don't have to be his post slave anymore!

Remind him that this forum is NOT FOR INTERACTION WITH CHARACTERS, if what you meant to say was that Betul is to come onto the forum and to ask questions. It's part of unfiction's ToA, to allow this space to be free from ARG elements. He might have better luck over at Something Awful (then again...)

It's just that if puppet masters and characters are able to ask questions and to interact with players on this forum, it removes the ability for players to discuss the ARG in question in an environment that's safe; if it weren't in place, PM's could use info from this forum to influence the game, which is being a bad sport.

The Marble Hornets forum is especially bad at abiding by this particular rule, but I have a feeling that your movie-maker just hasn't read the rules -- tell him to take a look through them beforehand, please!

If you or your character does want to interact with the other characters/Slender-fans, try leaving comments on the various blogs! As long as you don't actively plug your video, they'll generally be good about it.

...man, stuff like this makes me wish there was a "neutral" blog we could use to discuss "in-character", as it were.

My name is Sean and i've sort of taken over this account, i am the one who is making the new short. And i just wish that i could show you something now but i want to do it good. I like this forum a lot, i've followed the Marble hornets videos and after i saw it i came here to see how people here would just take the video frame by frame to check if there is something there. That enthuisiasm and expertise is just fantastic. I haven't registered before this because my time here was mainly just to read the awesome theories and stories.

But then my mind started wrapping around a side story of the slenderman, and since i'm doing a lot with film i made this my first big project. That is because the Slenderman had an impact on my life, i watched everything, the videos, the lore on the SA forums, it's amazing how something like this could make you scared and not sleep at night. So i thank you for reading this topic and i promise that i'll have a teaser out in a week, which will make you shit bricks.

That was wicked awesome until the cut at 0:36, after which it seemed dumb. I liked the Slender Man standing eerily behind the woman though.

I like it. I hope the music was just for the trailer. Music always makes me dissociate from the reality of the story. It can be good for atmosphere but if there's no discernible source, it seems less real to me.
Great camera work though!
