I wouldnt say we are carl, also i wouldnt say seldon is carl nor that sheldon=seldon, i think it just confuses things the heck out more !
Until we get some real info about who is who!
(maybe its just me but i'd stick to trying to figure out this astrology stuff! I remember when i spent countless hours on this, eventually EVERYTHING seemed to lead to planets and stuff, but couldnt make anything of it.)

Here's my thing with "The First".

I really don't think it refers to the first to find the email. Since we've found the email, hs continues to use the term. Just last week he told GoingUp that he "thought another might be the First but now (he) is quite sure it is (GoingUp)".
If hs is aware the email has been found long ago, how could anyone else be the First? Unless, of course, it's referring to a new thing that needs to be found, but it seems weird he would use the same term.
Here's the way I've been seeing it, and i could be totally off base.
When the email account was found, I considered it (in the world of this game), not to be something hs set up for us to find, but Sheldon Toart's email that he no longer needs, as he has "escaped". Now, whether Sheldon escaped and became hatshoe, or sheldon escaped and became the other watcher, or (if the verumbris thing is legit) sheldon escaped and became verumbris, or sheldon escaped and he's just plain gone, I have no idea. What's weird is that hs has commented many times that he needs to escape...perhaps that's why he was in contact with Sheldon.
Christ....my head.
Anyway...like I said...I'm probably dead wrong on all this. Any evidence you have to negate my theory, please share. I'd love for it not to be as complicated as I'm making it.

By the way...has anyone ever just flat out asked hs in an email what his name is? It seems we've all just been calling him Hatshoe since day one.
Maybe he's not as mysterious as we've made him. just a thought...

I always thought Verumbris was legit since HS mailed it to me himself.

Owh and if you still want to find out who is who, i'd say the box in probably could give some info on that, since theres those 4 colors and all, it tells us which color personadudeentity uses which kind of pen. Yes?

Also in response to loopkin's Foundation ideas I don't know if they each relate to a distinct planet, nothing like that hit me when reading about them. Then I looked up who this "Harlan" guy was and "OMG, I don't even!" was all I thought while reading this.

Firstly, he is the protagonist of the novel The End of Eternity. I'll just summarize the stuff I think is important cause there a wall of text there you might not enjoy.

Eternity is an organization/place that plucks men (not women) out of their time to work for them and become an "Eternal", their goal is to alter events to lessen humanity's suffering. They call those "Reality Changes". They execute those by traveling "upwhen" and "downwhen" in time using devices called kettles (Hats is missing his teapot!!!)

They create a special kettle that can travel "downwhen" past the "24th century terminus" at some point to send one guy back to ensure the creation of Eternity and the Eternals. Harlan is pissed about other things messes with the settings and sends the poor guy back to the 20th century by accident.

Other things happen of course. I suggest everyone read the page since this is the only thing in the foundation series Hats has mentioned so far that has been partially set in our current time. We know Hats is facing a similar issue in being trapped to some extent.

Omg nice, i read that too, but months ago and i didn't make the connection with the teapot and the kettle!!! I think thats an awesome find ! Seems like this could lead somewhere!

can somebody tell me, what is up with the cats? two of them seem to be of the same design (as in the ones that were sent to Mr. Airportdisco) but one of them is different. they don't seem to be the artistic work of Mr. Hatshoe either (as his drawings are more scribbled & out of place, like his writings). it seems that someone else has entered the fray to me.

also the writing on the first cat letter is totally different from Mr. Hatshoe's writing. can someone clarify?

@ Loopkin You reminded me of sleep stages with all this dream talk/phase stuff. Of course phase could mean any number of things. All I know for sure is that the 1st phase has ended.

I think i'll try and work out a notebook style message for him and see if responds. maybe its a bad idea to inundate him with messages but I think he may be waiting for the right topic to be mailed to him so I'll take my chances.

@viciousmalicious Yes, the writing that accompanies the first all white cat doesn't look familiar at all in the context of his website but if you're seeking to find out the only person who knows for sure is HatShoe. Might I suggest you join in and email him as it may help progress things. (One of us! One of us!) That and pages like "probably" seem to suggest that there are several personalities involved via the different writing utensils.

I've thought a lot about the colors and pages the cats show up on and I can't make any connections myself but I'm sure there is some symbolic meaning behind it... even if it's just that he really likes cats.

I'm not sure if it has been suggested before, but it seems to me like the Counterpoint-2 Induce connect video by Verumbris is cut up and shuffled. Maybe if it were put back into correct order it would make more sense?
I don't have any video editing software/skills so I'm not sure I can look into it more.

It's interesting that the recent email replies could be put together to make a bigger picture. I wonder if other pages from the site could also?
