Does anyone have a clear shot of Jesse? We have a very clear pic of Damsel. It'd be easy to compare.

They've been on Damsel's site, and Evan "thinks she's hot" according to a flippant comment during one of the streams. They know what Damsel looks like, so no, Damsel is NOT Jessie.

Also, Alex's vid... yeesh. is it just me, or is the heavy breathing there -very- similar to the heavy breathing during habit/rake's appearance in the last EMH video? Someone else have a listen and let me know if I'm imagining things....

I posted a screenshot of Jessie a couple pages ago - it's not very clear, but she looks pretty different from Damsel to me from what little I can gather.

Is Alex's doggy video down for everybody else too? It seems like he took it off.

I was musing last night after watching the video, hoping for sleep (I didn't get any)

The Rake and Slenderman are almost opposites in what they represent.

Slenderman is black, represents shadows. You never know if he's there, if he's REALLY there, and he always lurks just out of sight. People tend to fight back against him, whether through inaction or action. Slenderman is most like a Kidnapper, and our fear of kidnappings. We don't know what he is going to do with us, and when it happens we don't really believe it.

The Rake is white, and when he's there, people know he's there. He is just...there. There is no way about it, you just know who he is when he looks at you, and he's always...there. People who meet with the Rake give up: they accept their fate as unavoidable. The Rake is Death, and we don't really think about him until he makes himself known, and then we try to avoid it, but we can't.

Their physical features are drastically different: Slenderman stands tall, and has no real clear arms or legs, and naturally no face.

The most distinguishing feature of the Rake IS its face. Its also hunched over, and its long, spindly legs disturb and frighten.

But does this mean they're opposed, or working together?

Who the fuck knows?

I was musing a bit too.

Due to the different creatures, I wondered for a bit if maybe one of our friends is able to create things from his thoughts - the videos we have seen on utube are sent to our minds, Slendy and Rake manifest due to his feelings, the school burned down due to his animosity towards it... but then I remembered Damsel and Habit and thought "Nah"...

We definitely one thing: we are able to see things that are not there. The videos/memories, the short bits in videos (Jeff&Alex with purple tape over their mouth/Evan with purple tape over his mouth etc.). I am slowly leaning towards the idea that, yes, Slendy IS an "operator" - somebody who operates between two planes of existence. The thing we just saw may be the rake (the audio in Alex video is also a pro for this), but I rather think it's one think Slendy carried over to our world - similar to the Silent Hill phenomenon, in which an "operator" kind of creates "his" world.

My guess would be that sooner rather than later, the two worlds will meet, with the crew stuck in a kind of limbo. But that's just my wild guess.

And I am positive Jessie is a red herring. Why? These guys are good writers. Introducing somebody like that and going "Oh WOWZ, that insane dude you're looking for is my uncle!!!!!!!!" is a bit weird. The only reason I can see them do it, is due to them deciding for a turn of events (no idea why though). But to me, there must be a reason why she's introduced now and here on-screen.

Hmm, am I the only one who thinks the Rake thing could be Slendy? It is possible that the Hybrid team decided to mold both the myths together into one absolutely terrifying creature. My thinking is that they 'surprised' Slendy, and that's why he was all naked or whatever and running away.

Perhaps the body of that girl was a fresh victim of his, and the Hybrids interrupted Slendyrake in a moment of vulnerability? Perhaps the 'Rake' looking thing is his true form, and they could see him in it because he was not at his fullest power. The business suited 'Slenderman' form is his powerful form, the one he uses to 'blend in' and hide himself when stalking victims. *shrug*

Just my opinion.

Last night when I was talking to Alex he said he'd not been to sleep because his dog had been crying all night. I mentioned it earlier in the thread. I asked him when we'd next get a vid and he said maybe last night, which he did do. I told him he should have set up a camera to see if it was an animal that was causing his dog to react like that. He said he had and that the footage in the video would be what he got. I think that's what we're supposed to be watching. So what did happen in last nights video? I missed it.

My favorite theory so far is that 'The Rake' is Dr. Corenthal... reminds me of a book I read once called Relic... although I think it's more likely to be HABIT, if it's going to be 'anybody'... then again, maybe the dead girl is HABIT?

I also found it kind of hilarious that everyone in the car was dissing on Damsel except for Evan.
