Pondering Maps...
This may relate to WPPPT

I keep trying to make/overlay maps

I feel like the Google symbols from episode 2, should be used with a map from another episode (I am assuming that this is a "Tom" clue and therefore out of place).

They use the Meetup icon and the Zoom Out Icon from Google

I don't know whether to place them on the Subway Map from the Larry King episode or the map from the end of WPPPT...

Them be my thoughts...yours?

and Mulligan putting the chip in his cup at the end?

Certainly, chips are at play here.

I'd like to form another BRAINSTORM group tonight.

Anyone? Times?

Excellent point!

You should be MY 1st wench! Wink

But has it been proven if we move ahead ONE with Black Tom? or is it just randomly out of place?

Randomly out of place, in my opinion, would be just complete ragnarok.

However, solving this might confirm our initial thought on Episode 3, could it not?

What if we move ahead in increments, 1, then 2, then 3?

Brainstorms, Tornados etc...

I could not get on that thing last night. I will add my two cents here and there.

The chip thing at end with Mulligan too in interesting.

I truly feel that Tom's hat will be the death of me.

Could the last scene be spelling letters or numbers with the placement of cards and chips?

If you look back....

You'll see that I thought the BLUE ICON was for USER-GENERATED MAPS on Google... but I stand corrected Smile

Okay... I saw that "chip in a cup" thing and immediately was reminded of an old SCAM that was run by dealers and players at casinos.

It was called "The Chip Cup" scam. Not QUITE what was represented in that scene, but involved dealers working with players to hide/steal chips in a tube painted to LOOK like a stack of chips. The player/dealer would slide the tube over a chip, and then slide the chip to the end of the table, where it would fall off and into their lap. I did this trick JUST THE OTHER NIGHT for my kids!!!!

Anyways... it originated in Sun City. It was called the "Sun City Chip Cup Scam"

So... the SUN again? Three in Japanese? (sun/san)???

The Captain's cheating. Mulligan is cheating. Black Tom is cheating. Delilah is cheating.

Crothers? Not so much, huh?

(warning: I can't watch the episode right now, I'm going by memory, please double-check details)

one thing that has always bothered me about the poker episode: the "win percentages" posted at the bottom next to each player's hand. First of all, they always add up to 99%, never 100... at first I thought maybe they were considering potential ties, but the probability of a tie is not always equal to 1%. Even weirder, the chance of Mulligan winning goes UP to 1% from ??? once the Holy Mackerel shows up on the turn, which doesn't make sense to me. Even if another Holy Mackerel card shows up on the river, Tom still has him beat with a full house. I think the only possible conclusion is that Holy Mackerel is some sort of wild card, so he has a possible straight? But then he just needs a ten or a jack, which has more than 1% probability.

So I'm thinking the percentages are not accurate, and are actually number clues.

its possible that the holy mackerel could be the "joker"

Re: the Brooklyn puppeteers life story
and its relevance to clues

As I recall the post, merely viral advises that you shouldn't look for the overall motif in this marketing push but instead should break down the individual clues and not expect them to fit into an overarching theme.

FaFa's friend good friend Tim disagrees. He says that a story needs to be explained or else people switch.

Now as to whether there are clues from Fafa's web presence, let's consider FaFa's Twitter?

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JeYYOtHr87oJ:twitter.com/FafaGroundhog+gloveandboots+FaFa&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

kidschlocko, who is Fafa's good friend, writes an hour ago:

"Jim Henson's Red Book is now online for free! (hat tip @puppetvision for finding this first) http://fb.me/ILXxwniV about 1 hour ago via Facebook"

@djsmackmackey LOL. True. Maybe I should save my theories for my own web series. 1:27 PM Sep 21st via TweetDeck in reply to djsmackmackey

schlock has a fan page:

"Welcome to the Lost in Schlock fanpage. This is the perfect place to discover various how-to's on film and stage props, puppetry, costume design, make-up fx, and visiual effects, all with a low budget in mind."

His post about Jim Henson says:

"Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets et al, was obviously a prolific creator and he would often jot down notes and ideas into a notebook which was later nicknamed "The Red Book". It was a book that he kept updating with ideas and whatnot up to his death.

Now after all of these years, The Henson Company has been kind enough to start posting segments of The Red Book in a blog format for all of us to see, not to mention learn from. The best part is that it's all for free!

Go here to see The Red Book."

Ca'pn and merely viral: Is it that you don't know who the Brooklyn puppeteers and the 33-year old video freelancer are? Isn't knowing who they are relevant to understanding the clues?

No, Spaniard. It's that we are focused on solving at least ONE path for a change. It's that we decided to stay focused and at least solve ONE end game, and not jump all over the place. We all know you are GREAT at finding obsure stuff, but we all wish you would get on board with us and find out AT LEAST where they WANTED to bring us on purpose! Maybe THEN we can go back and see if all these random ideas of yours fit!

Please help us solve the PATH. Please. Pretty please. With sugar on top.

And just FYI. I know who the puppeteers are. I "worked" with them over five years ago. PLease recall that I, too, am a puppeteer from Brooklyn Smile

Hidden Morse Code in Episode 2

Ahoy, mates. Sorry ain't been around in awhile.

Has anyone bothered to decipher the gunshots & cannonball fire as Morse Code in Episode 2? I remember someone saying it spelled "TIME" or something.

Count me out of the brainstorming. Perhaps those of us who don't want to play that way should move to a different thread? I found it wasn't enjoyable to watch. I don't mean any disrepsect.

Even though we solved the "Port of Courtland"? Together?

I don't know, man.... I tried. It was nigh impossible to decipher what was LONG and SHORT.

Have at it, if you like. If you get a hit, by all means let us know.
