You're probably right... That would be why you're in there and I'm out here. Very Happy

I'm in - I transcribed the log of what happened in Yahoo, but the juicy stuff is going down in IRC. I'll post a log of what happened in both when the chat is over.

Here's the log - it's huge, though. It's so big, I'm posting it as a txt file. Here's a teaser:

(The following occured in Social Lounge 6 on Yahoo Games)

Trippingninja85 (TN): hey Brendan, do you know someone named Steve?
Holy_brendan32(holy): Steven Who?
TN: He's a programmer…I can't remember his last name right now.
Holy: I know a Steve who programs, yeah….
Holy: damn good at what he does.
TN: So is the Steve I know. He likes cryptography a lot too
Holy: Yeah
Holy: Who are you?
TN: Trippingninja is one of my aliases
TN: satanis7 is another
TN: I'm just a college student though
Holy: I was going to say, I've never heard of him speak of you.
TN: Well…he probably wouldn't have…he only knows me and a few of my friends recently.
Holy: How recently?
TN: Like, only in the past couple of days
Holy: Where is he!
TN: I don't know…I'm trying to figure that out.
Holy: If you're one of them, I swear to the elements!
TN: No…I'm trying to help, I promise
Holy: How do I know I can trust you?
TN: What can I do prove that I can be trusted?
Dream_lamia16 (DL): What's going on?
Holy:How did he contact you?
Freckled twin(FT): Ladies do you need a private room?
DL: shut up
Holy: Stay out of this
TN: Though his a website
FT: I was just kidding
Holy: called what?
TN: Projectgateway
DL: Project Gateway
Holy: …
Holy: You've got to be joking
TN: No, I swear.
DL: No point in joking at this time
Holy: You sure you don't know where he is?
TN: we think he's in a a cell somewhere
DL: we havnt been able to contact him
TN: he said that he's a prisoner
Holy: THAT, I can assure you is false
Holy: Unless I've missed something
TN: He was captured, with his girlfriend, he said
TN: On a mountain
Holy: This was true.
Holy: I think we need a better place to talk
DL: Agreed
TN: A private room?
Holy: Yeah. You have IRC?
TN: Yes
Holy: Make a room named Brendan, your call on the server
Trippingninja: I'm on chat-solutions
Holy: OK….
Holy: thanks for the game everyone

----------

After we adjourned to the IRC channel, I was able to look up some information on Brendan and on his mentor, "Father_George." Here's what I came up with (I'm no hacker – this was all readily available.)

The info could contain stuff that pulls the curtain - it's spoilered.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
After we adjourned to the IRC channel, I was able to look up some information on Brendan and on his mentor, "Father_George." Here's what I came up with (I'm no hacker – this was all readily available.)

"Father_George"
Name: Fr. George White
E-mail: ~judgereli@35474391.2803ef39.resnet.pitt.edu
Server: nemesis.nv.us.hub.chat-solutions.org The Enemy At The Gates

"Holy_Brendan32"
Name: Holy_Brendan32
E-mail: ~elemental@35474391.2803ef39.resnet.pitt.edu
Server: nemesis.nv.us.hub.chat-solutions.org The Enemy At The Gates

What's with the "pitt.edu" e-mails?

BTW, here's the yahoo group for in-game chatter. I'll start an out of game group, if there's demand, and once someone thinks of a cool name like "Jawbreakers." Smile

Brilliant, guys. A lot of things make more sense after reading that - Section 32, the rejudgereligion site, the elements, the suits of armor. Good work! I've joined the Yahoo group as jehanepw, and hopefully future chats will be *ahem*EARLIER?*ahem* so I can make them?

Hmm, where is Rachael Requiem?

Bugger. I would have been there, except my internet chose that day to spontaeneously crap out on me. Sad

Looks like we've made good progress though.

Well it could mean there logging in from the same place which is in Pittsburgh and thru an educational server probably owned by a university or college.

I think this is probably 'meta' information.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

It's the University of Pittsburgh.

well yah - about the e-mails of the IRC chat....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It was earmarked as a spoiler because it pulls back the curtain a little bit. Remember that the guard checks his mail at midnight everynight.

So what's the verdict? Do we want to risk ripping down the veil to ask if this is a plot element? I say no - the Pitt.edu e-mail addresses are probably an oversight on the PM's part.
