some interesting information (along with some of my commentary in brackets)... not sure if it has been mentioned/used before:

Todt (Tutty?) Hill is a hill formed of serpentine (serpent in the comic book?) rock on Staten Island, New York. It is the highest natural point (crow's nest?) in the five boroughs of New York City. The summit of the ridge is largely covered in woodlands (lots of places to bury something) as part of the Staten Island Greenbelt, although much of the surrounding area is developed and residential.

The name Todt comes from the Dutch word for "dead" and refers to the cemetery (cemetery in comic book?), the present Moravian Cemetery, on the southwestern foot of the ridge.

You dont have regulations for the sake of having regulations, they are only there when neccesary. Nothing in this game requires regulations or indemnity, that isnt already covered by city laws. They dont need a rule "Dont dig up the pavement" because its already covered by city laws. Else they would need to ad the same clause to marathons, as there is always the chance some runner may think its a shortcut.
Name one legitimate regulation walking around the city needs? It would have the 2 requirements, dont bury in a dangerous place. They complied, and dont need to mention that to us anywhere. The other: make it certain Dont dig up Central park. They say that everywhere, on the website,in the news interviews, in the videos. They complied, not needed for us though.

Havnt rechecked the dissappearing tutty photo, however they say they have been together the whole [time]. This must mean Tutty is the BLUE A line that naturally heads to the crows nest, Crothers is the BLUE C, and Captain is left with the BLUE E. Therefore those 3 lines have been together the whole time.
Also you can check this(i havent) whenever the captain in the story crosses the BLUE A line he must mention/think of Tutty.

Seriously guys you cant still think this is all a million little coincidences, thats crazy.

The final video shows the captain walking up the red line get the Time square phot of Tutty, then heads back down the red line where he meets Crothers(BLUE C line). At this intersection you have the captain place Tutty down on the table, note the angle of placement. Exactly like this intersection angle, with all three BLUE lines. Once Tuuty is placeed on the table he is then BURIED in the yellow foam.

He is buried on this intersection. He is there somewhere.

I thought about Tottenville (once suggesting Tutty = Totty). The high school mascot name is The Pirates.

The problem with this way of thinking is, all thats involved is to hear the name Tutty in the first vid then go look for him. Same with any other one hit location. Defeats the point of the whole episodic show.

But there WOULD have to be some documentation of public expenditures on a promotion like this, regardless of the rules and regulations involved in the hunt itself. In short, this is definitely NOT a city-sponsored hunt. But I still don't see why they couldn't have put it in a public park and just risked someone getting in trouble. Like they said, they lost the gold and anyone can just find it.

And I didn't mean to say that the "million little coincidences" weren't important...in fact, I think many of them are. But to have every movement, every word, every visual, etc be representative of some physical movement through the city seems not only too difficult to follow to a logical conclusion, but too difficult to actually put together in the first place.

That aside, I quite like the idea that each character is actually representative of a particular subway line. Although why have we ignored bus lines all together?

Nevermind the French, Tutty.

Am I the only one who realizes that Pierre's name means "Stone Fort"?

They could have buried it in a public park without the risk for trouble, provided they asked for proper permission/permits/whatever and the treasure hunter also asks for the proper permission (or is really stealthy about it).

I have been working on a treasure hunt that was created in 1982. A book publisher buried 12 casques in 12 cities and published a book that would lead you to each of them once you were able to decipher the book.

One was found buried in Grant Park in Chicago and one was found buried in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, both being very public parks.

I don't know all the details behind getting permission to do it, but I'm certain it can be done without much hassle.

(The book for anyone interested is called "The Secret")

Those of us working on The Secret over at the Quest4Treasure forums also believe there is/was a treasure buried in NYC. On one hand, it may never be found, due to two decades of ever-changing landmarks used for the clues; on the other hand, we could probably use a native spot some references we've missed.

Here's a link to tempt some of you: the 12 verses with links to the images above that.

this was already answered
you guys chased away the guy with the answer

cap'n slim gave an answer to this a few pages back and during the chat session the other night

you guys dismissed him and he hasn't posted since. i went back and read his posts, but it seems he's erased some of them now. not all of them just certain ones which I think is bad because it means he realized something.

I think this forum started with nice organization from that fellowtraveler guy, and now he is gone. and it really made progress when cap'n slim took over and now he's gone too. the past couple of days have been just useless here.

I'm not a member but I think it would be smart to contact him and have him pick up where he left off.

Back in the hunt tomorrow

Hey all,

Sorry for not sharing sooner, but I have been working some serious side work these past few days.

Tomorrow I wake up and start to re-tackle Eps. 5 and 6.

Let's see where we can get with them.
