[PUZZLE?] butterflies page

Under the butterflies picture there is the following text.
Quote:
Now, what is this image doing, exactly? There's there real question, now isn't it?

This got me thinking that maybe it's a puzzle but so far I have no clue as to which direction this might lead.

One possible lead I have thought of is that the butterflies in the picture look a lot like those on the 32ndnotes pages.

Yes, RedKnight is referring to the Butterflies page. We have solved what the text in the image was, but a lot of us believe there still is a puzzle left in Steven Roberts' question.

So, what is the image doing, exactly?

With regards to your last question, gadoo - I was getting fairly prompt responses from Emily up until now. But now that her mom has found out about us, I wouldn't hold your breath for one..

Hmmm well...

1. It's giving us a hidden message...
2. It's using the butterflies (possibly using the same graphic from 32nd Notes) and "noise" to cover that message.
3. It's telling us about how Steven was kidnaped.
4. It's taking up space on all our hard drives...
5. It's pissing us off because we can't figure it out.

Number 2 is the most interesting to me at this point. Because 32nd Notes uses pulls the image from Freeweb's image server, I doubt there's anything interesting actually hidden in it.

But it may or may not be interesting to note that 32nd notes uses the butterflies under text, while the butterflies picture uses them mixed in and over the text... Not sure if that's significant for any reason other then they need to be in order to obscure it...

But we seem to get a lot of background images, and we're always looking at source code so...

Laughing Yes, that is exactly what it's doing!

/me goes to try all possible variations of "pissing us off" in the command prompt...
