Re: the ball pit in over the years
is the Captain not going to throw the annual party this year?

What is the relevance of this? A halloween party bears no relevance to the hunt, regardless of who threw it, or the 'ball pit'.

Get it together buddy, you are losing your marbles!

In 2008, the Captain and crew threw another great party. Crothers was there. Mulligan was there. In 2008, it was at 149 7th Street Brooklyn, NY. In addition to the free beer, there was a scavenger hunt and the famous ball pit that I've proposed, although guest22 disagrees, now hides the treasure chest.

"Bid a fine farewell to our mermaids and mermen of Astroland by dancing on their watery graves!!" I hope guest22 gets invited to a Halloween party as fun and isn't still out digging holes.

Turn over your gold Captain and I'll throw a party for everyone at Warsaw at the Polish National Home (on a date of your choice). Free beer all night and free pierogies too. Even for guest22. Fortunately, guest, you wouldn't have to understand the homages to dive into the colored balls and fish out the gold.

In 2007, one of my wenches, had I gone, almost had her eye stabbed out in the ball pit.

In 2006, although I would have been a bit overtaken by the grog even if I remembered going, the Captain threw a party at The Hook at 18 Commerce St (between Columbia and Richards), Red Hook. That's 18, guest22.

But I don't want to burden you with either an explanation of the homages or the clues (though you can click on the link for the street view above if you like).

If you don't want to dig through the balls for the treasure,
http://www.myspace.com/themeedle/photos/10348370#a=0&i=10766460

you can call out "Give me a ten'er!"

The Captain had grog with Satan as Santa. He would get out of the subway with Kentile Floors (midway between Red Hook, Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery). As I mentioned, he would regularly wash his balls. He blew up his G4 Apple computer using tannerite -- but not too much aluminum. A fan of the Yankees and the Rangers.

This is how the Captain thinks LOST should have ended.

But you'll have competition. Popeye was always one of the first to dive into the sweaty balls that now hold the treasure.

But, hurry, guest22. The Captain's brother and crewmate says the end of the world is coming.

Arcade Fire

Now you have my undivided attention...one of the best bands IMO to come out in the last 7 or so years.

They did live stream their concert this past Aug. from MSG.

I have not checked out the wilderness info yet...

Don't have anything else to offer other than their current album is titled "The Suburbs".

This is a heads up.

Happy Sunday all.

Hopefully we are all at the same place now. Tired of digging, searching randomly... even IF we are CONVINCED that our spot is the "spot".... we've found nothing.

I will admit that I have been digging. In truth? I have been digging a particular location since immediately after Episode 1. Luckily, I am VERY GOOD at recovering my damage. I dug several very big holes in a very public park and you could not find them the next day. And even though I covered nearly every possible location, nearly every angle, nearly every conceivable calculation.... I am still without a treasure chest and a pile of gold in my apartment.

Some of us have probably passed each other in our efforts. Some of us have been in contact. I, personally, have spoken and even met some of you for a beer, or a quick rundown of where we are and where we've been. It's been part of the fun for me... meeting people who are like-minded (well, at least like-minded on this HUNT). Some of us are partnered up, while others remain solo.

If you would like to collaborate, I am returning tomorrow. If I get enough people who leave a message after this saying that they are into it, or that PM me to say "Yes, I'm in", I would like to pick up where we left off last week. I have recon, I have intel, I have ideas and I have possibilities to discuss. I have questions to ask, and I have paths I would like to explore with all of you. If, in the end, we all decide to break apart and sprint for the win? So be it. Perhaps we will all get there, dig it up together, and have one kick-ass dinner and drinks at a local pub.... covered in mud.

It's not about the money anymore, is it? I mean... it IS, but if we end up finding it together, then that's how we win.

So. Who is in?

I have a feeling that the Treasure will be found today at approx 6pm.
Just a hunch.

Explain.

Seriously. Just explain your theory.

It's obviously more than a hunch. You don't just "come up" with a claim of that nature without having some reason.

So.... please just explain.

he probably wont be explaining

Why on earth would you think he would explain that claim???
If he thinks he knows where it is, and the first chance he has to go dig it up is at 6pm, why would you even waste a post asking him to explain where he thinks it is?
I'll give you a hint. He made that claim because he think he knows where it is. Is that a good enough explanation for you?

We get it, you went off by yourself for a week, couldn't figure anything out, then decided to come back here and beg for help by saying you "want to work as a group again"
good luck with that man

Still with you Cap'n

As I said, in the interest of free speech, I want to learn from the majority of you.

Sitting down tomorrow to map out my documentary ideas. I think I might be willing to sign a full release of all ideas and no claim to the gold, in exchange for some kind of exclusive rights to any footage I am granted (depending on how many big names on here volunteer).

Remember it's he who takes the most organized notes who will ultimately win. If that person is me, and I've granted someone else the legal claim to the gold I find, then sharing information with me is just as valuable as hoarding it for yourself.

We'll see. Still kind of want the gold. Smile

Hope everyone is still having fun out there covered in mud in this fall weather.

I concur; 6pm this hunt will be over

Spaniard; um ...just wow. I mean why not go a step further with this Nelson St gimmick; like I dont know here's something COMPLETELY RANDOM to pick up where you left off; "well since that puts us on Nelson Street , and there was a children's book called Miss Nelson Is Missing, and obviously the pirates' treasure is missing ...THERE MUST BE A CONNECTION ..and in the book Miss Nelson guised herself as Viola Swamp..THEREFORE THE TREASURE MUST BE IN A SWAMP..and after it rains the back of Belvedere Castle LOOKS LIKE A SWAMP" .. like really? Oooh and Kermit The Frog sang about THE RAINBOW CONNECTION ... IN A SWAMP!! OMG THAT MUST BE IT! Please Spaniard use your powers for good; go slay the Six Fingered Man.

CapnSnapIntoaSlimJim; nice to see you back

expect a lengthy post this evening

Cap'n Slim Team work???

Team? Yeah right.

Some suspected Cap'n Slim left the forum after his leadership was challenged, but it was obvious he left to pursue a lead. He was obviously very excited by Spaniard's "Apple dock" theory and the mysterious orange glow beneath the treasure map.

CS left the forum for days and abandoned the people who helped him figure out Ep 5 WPPPT, not waiting for a run to the finish. Now that his idea hasn't panned out, he returns to ask for help, and team work, and another promised run to the finish, just waiting for the one clue that will give him a huge headstart.

Once bitten ...

and who are you?

You were not involved in that day we collaborated. You were not involved in the chat session. If you were, then you sat back and just stole the info.

As for me being "excited" by the Apple Dock theory? It's called sarcasm. Look it up.

This hunt is not my life and I was "away" from here because I had other responsibilities to tend to. I also didn't care about the negativity on this forum. Anyone who has met me in person from here will tell you two things: A) I am a straight shooter. B) You wouldn't say those things to me in person.
