While that park does have a ton of things that can match the clues I'm not sure if it's a perfect fit. If we are to be following them around and we are at the turtle close to the beginning of Ep. 5......would we still be in the same spot at the snake half way through Ep. 6? I mean it could be right but it just bugs me that we wouldn't have moved from the same spot all that time.

I'll give you ONE guess. lol I'm guessing it is someone who contributes by posting pics of a spot that is a "clue", after they already checked the place and know it is uselss info. ahaha

There is absolutely no reason to dig a hole near the turtle... the clues do not dictate it. The place I've been digging is sand. These pictures were taken weeks ago.

Now I thought you said something about not posting anymore?

I said that I'm not posting any clues. But while on topic, I thought you were leaving the board?? Oh..and if you know i'm not writing anymore... then don't ask me for clues or keep directing statements towards me.

Marine Park

I don't believe Marine Park is a viable location. Much like the backstage photos, I have intel to suggest that this whole area is a red herring.

This area is "related" to the puppeteers. Anyone doing a "back-door" search of the area would easily get the address in question, and therefore I believe that they put clues to this area in an obvious manner to suggest that you might be on the right track.

Then again....

Marine Park.

The "turtle" is mere steps away from the "snake".

So... the "turtle" here would have been referenced in Episode 5, and then the "snake" would be referenced in Episode 6?

That's what I'm having a problem with....I don't think two things so close together would be referenced so far apart in the videos.

Hey All,

jumping in on this one extremely late.

Have you all considered starting over and running through the clues again? possibly splitting up your threads based on the episodes?

In that very first episode when the "clue of all clues" is the captains foot, I read that as "this is going to be a game that runs all over the city, follow the steps", a very easy interpretation. As this goes, I think if we really nail down a concrete place that is definitely on the path of the treasure trail we wouldn't necessarily need to nail down any clues before that point.

In the last video we have very detailed instructions to the final resting place, but as far as I've read, we just don't know where to apply those clues (we don't have a concrete location for the 7th episodes clues).

Slap me if I'm wrong...

and as far as the digging in sand goes, I bet you guys are right on the money with that one. Any way to search for playgrounds with sand boxes in the NYC area? then reverse track using the "home sweet home" clues (250 feet)?

No slap....

and you are not wrong....

I have seen no intelligible or even attempted solution to Episode 7 to date.

In my opinion, there are MANY overlooked clues in that episode.

fighting

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was away for a weekend wedding and come back to even more fighting. I was one of the people who mentioned about Cap'n leading and trying to reign in the discussion. I never meant any disrespect or anything negative. I was just trying to keep the forum open to all that would like to share whatever it is they feel is important. I think Cap'n has been a valuable contribution, as has everyone else in their own way. Even people who ramble nonsense have probably contributed something that has made people think.

I know when money is involved people can get a little crazy, but this is supposed to be fun. The whole idea of a treasure hunt is the fun of solving clues, the possibilities, the excitement that brings you back to childhood. And videos with pirates and ninjas....come on, it's all fun! In the spirit of the videos and the hunt, this forum should be fun as well. If you've decided not to share anymore ideas, but post here to argue or claim to find things then that is just negative.

I agree with the person who said no one is further along unless they have found the gold. They may think they have made great strides but are going in the total wrong direction. Or they may be going in the right direction, but run into problems that allow others to catch up. The old tortoise and the hare(or Giant Sea Turtle and the hare). For the record I have seen both grammatical and spelling errors in everyone's posts. I don't think that says anything about intelligence or the ability to solve this.

Maybe we could all do a little less fighting and a little more playing. It's all negative and counterproductive.

As for the "S" in the background, I think it is very possible. I think they only way to determine if it really may be intended as a clue is to find other letters in all of the videos. I am still all over the place with my theories and trying to narrow them down, but do still believe that we may be looking for one clue per episode.

Haha, wasn't tryin to bust up anything! Just trying to make sense of this whole hunt that haunts my dreams! All I have to say, is these video makers better be putting together a final video that points out each and every clue, homage, misdirection, etc...

Any thoughts on the final episode with crothers saying to follow the birdie and pay more attention to Mulligan from the very beginning? Golf??

Haha, I remember that! I chose that name for the phrase "don't drink the koolaid" when you are meeting up with a controversial or questionable group. I figured parts of this forum were like taking part in a controversial group...minus the mass suicide of course!!
