Forgive me if this concept has been discussed earlier in the thread, I somewhat skimmed it due to being very excited and trying to distract myself from worrying to death over a recent musical audition

Anyway, I've been thinking about the discrepancies in TribeTwelve, and all the weird/flatness in the characters, and a thought occurs: What if it's on purpose? What if this time, we aren't looking at a Jay/Alex character? What if the reason there is no "Masky" character is because Noah IS the Masky character, or rather is becoming him? What if we are watching the degeneration of a Slender-minion? I know Tim wasn't particurarly lucid or convincing in any of his videos, but we weren't expecting him to be because we all thought he was one of the Big Bads ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BigBad )?

I pose that maybe he isn't supposed to be particularly informative. Hell, I don't think he's even supposed to be clear. I think we have been granted a front row seat into what happens when somebody loses the game the others are playing. Just a theory, but that would be a real trip, imho.

I'll concede that, but I'm not sure if it's because he's gotten better or if it's because he's mostly asleep, silently filming, or briefly talking into a camera as compared to earlier when he had to interact with the worst haircut on the east coast.
Not to say the other series haven't had their issues. Evan from EverymanHYBBRID's a little too hammy and obvious (when he's "performing", like in Joke's Over) at times, and I never really felt Alex Kralie was a very well performed character (how much was intentional is debatable)... but generally, TribeTwelve has been sub-par in writing in acting, but more than makes up for it by raising the bar whenever it comes to Slenderman. And prior complaints aside, it has gotten better since then. For one, it's a hell of a lot more easy to follow than Marble Hornets, which still wasn't very clear until at least Entry 23, or EverymanHYBRID which pretty much requires a constantly updated wiki to follow all the threads in motion. So really, I like to think of TribeTwelve as Slenderman for the MTV generation.
