On another note, how hasn't anyone thought to ask the Hybrids if they can see everything in the videos they CAN see? For example, in the Jeff video there's a pretty classic case of distorted reality caught on camera, showing Alex with purple tape over his mouth while what looks like Jeff is in the shadows behind him, looking nefarious. The fact they never brought it up makes me wonder.

@demongel I've sent them several @ messages on twitter about stuff like that and never gotten a reply. Not sure if it's because twitter is just a poor way to talk to them or they couldn't see the stuff in-game and ignored me as some internet crackpot.

It'd be interesting if they were seeing only parts of their videos, and would explain why Vince isn't shitting his pants in concentrated fear yet.

My wild ass guess: she's referencing the cops again, implying they are about to haul her in for questioning or something. Not sure how they will pull that off in-game but I feel like that's what she's getting at.

They need to do something with her character, the last meaningful thing she posted was that shot of Jessa like a month ago.

It's not the police. Whoever made a call like that to a suspect would be immediately suspended and completely fuck over the case.

Could be one of the Hybrids. My finger would be on Evan.

I wondered about that too - I said a while ago the best way to know would be to ask the guys for a "recap" in an email, asking for a complete list of the videos and how long each video is in their browsers. Without going "HEY GUYS YOU ARE BEING BLINDEND BY THE SLENDERMAN WHY CAN'T YOU SEE YOU'LL ALL DIE HORRIBLY", something like "hey, there seems to be some issues with your channel sometimes, can you please help us check if we missed something/there were editing problems? We want to help!" A couple screenshots of their channel's video list as it appears in their browsers could be enough.

I'm fairly sure the "shrine" part in Sleep Lab 1, for example, is invisible to them (out of chronological order, in the middle of the Hamster Dance montage...).

And dammit but I've just been on CYSTW and I missed the only important post in ages! Evil or Very Mad

So, last time I checked - like, then seconds ago, I swear - there was just the "It's raining today" post, and I'm fairly sure the "rain" part wasn't crossed out - I remember thinking "uh, weird".

And now this. "A change of scenery". I thought of the cops too, just because it's a turn of phrase that I associate with "we're sending you to jail!" but it doesn't make a lot of sense if I think of it. I mean, what are they accusing her of? Being emo? Unless they're tying her to the whole Jessa thing and Damsel is really the guilty one - I mean, the one who GUILTYGUILTYGUILTY was referring to, rather than the actual assassin of Jessa.

If it's the cops and it's not Evan who's finally going nuts. In fairness, he has a rather cool evil laughter.

Wait, isn't Damsel taking meds? Like, the kind a doctor has to prescribe?

Anyway, she's def in distress right now. That name didn't bring her any luck.

EDIT: the only other plausible "change of scenery" I can think of in this context is, well, "in several plastic bags hanging from a tree" is a scenery, right? I'm going to feel weird if she dies before the dog. Shocked

Unless whoever talked to her meant "okay, we've played until now, from this point on shit just got real".

The cops think she is involved in Jessa's disappearance if I remember right. They also still suspect her of having burned down her old house and killing her parents, which is why they are acting like dicks to her.

You know, part of the reason why I thought 'cops!' was because of that post. Here, 'it's raining' is an old code word for "cops in proximity, pretend very hard you're not doing anything illegal!" I remembered only later that this idiom is probably inexistent in English. Embarassed

EDIT: So it was the cops, uh. Well, she sort of set this up really, what with the whole "authorities hate me and I hate them" thing. Also, it's actually neat that they're not leaving the whole Jessa thing just hanging - until now, it seemed like Jeff and Damsel were the only people worried for her, but she must have had a family, who would do the reasonable thing and call the cops. It makes sense.
