Cloverfield credits?

And disregard the "first sighting" thing, it just says the date, and its 10 september 1969. I'm not sure if this has any significance to Super 8, and sorry if this has been posted before, I searched and didnt find anything.

There was a discussion thread about that in the Unfiction Cloverfield ARG site, but as Geezy said , nothing could be figured out about that. I know i personally racked my brain for days about it, trying to figure out something. The only thing that could be linked to that date was an atomic bomb testing on that day in the pacific. So some speculated that it could be hinting at the origin of old Mr. Grumpypants. HA. havent said that name in forever. ah, the good ol days.; cant believe its been over three yrs since it all started.
