[OT] Just purchased my TRON IMAX Movie tickets!

I'll be there Thursday the 16th at midnight!!! Fandango has 'em and and probably other outlets as well. See you there!!! (I'll be wearing some SWAG, but hopefully not too overboard...)

Interesting. I just tried buying tickets in seven different major cities across the US and Fandango doesn't got past December 6th for any of them. Hmmmm....

FYI...
Cineplex.com has tickets on sale already. They seem to be on sale pretty much across canada, but I'm not 100% sure about that, 'cause I only did a quick check.

But at least the Imax 3D Dec 16th midnight showing is on sale for the Montreal Scotiabank Theatre. See you there!

You did not need to create an entirely new thread for this...Sorry for minimodding, but it's the truth.

This thread should be labeled OT... sorry for minimodding...

El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood's website had Tron Legacy up to buy tickets, no listing for a midnight showing on 12 mindnight 17th which is strange. I'll call them tommorow and ask them about it.

What so special about El Capitan theatre is that its owned by Disney and has REALD 3-d with awesome digital projectors, the theatre displays props and costumes from the movies they screen there so expect to see props and costumes from Tron Legacy, and the side balcony and the frame of the screen often is fixed up with decorations & props that fit the theme of the movie being shown. So it'll be a pretty sweet place to see the movie.

Is this THE LA location? I'm sure somebody somewhere already suggested this, but we should do 'official' Flynn Lives meet-ups for the showing at certain theaters. We can nerd it up w/ each other. Or are we all going to wait until the last minute, hoping there is some sort of ACTUAL Flynn Lives showing?

anyone here going to see the movie at midnight at Disney's El Capitan theater in Hollywood?

I just bought tickets, and there's only a few seats left in the "VIP orchestra" section and the seats in other sections will fill up quickly too.

What's special about El Capitan Theater is that with big movies like this, El Capitan often has many of the props and costumes from the movies shown there (Like Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and Prince of Persia) so several Tron Legacy Props & costumes may be on display there, the theater often dresses up the place with lighting and decorations that fit the movie being shown as well. they show movies in digital disney REAL D 3D.

my nearest IMAX 3-d midnight screening (45 min drive) was going to charge $15 / ticket including service charge - no thanks.

i'll wait a whopping 12-18 hours to see it in 2d for $2.75 at my local theater!
sorry disney/theaters - i appreciate all you do - but I have to stay within budget

Got my ticket

Got my IMAX ticket in Signal Butte Dickinson Theater in Mesa AZ, this is the only DIGITAL PROJECTION IMAX in the state as far as i know. They were puzzled by the sudden sale authorization for now. I explained it and they wised up immediately.

Just bought my ticket to the 12:01am showing at my local Regal Cinema. I'll try to take a nap that day, but I doubt it'll happen. Shocked too hyped

Went with my friend on Saturday morning to get tickets, we were literally the first ones to get them from our theater. I'm way excited!

I hope to buy my 12:01 tickets soon, but i'm not worried. I doubt ticket sales for Tulsa, OK are going to be too insane.
