Because nobody caught the PALE FIRE stuff, here are a few tiny bits about it:

PALE FIRE is a long, epic poem of a recently deceased writer/poet. His good friend, Kinbote, puts together a detailed analyzation of the poem, which is centered on his believe that it is about the King of a far away land, who may or may not be he himself. Said king and land may or may not exist, and the reader is left to wonder how insane/sane Kinbote actually is.

Which makes me wonder whether or not Damsel is sort of a Kinbote character, who thinks she is something she isn't... Confused

There was an argument. And at the moment we don't know what's spurred it.
There were also, though, no romantic implications to speak of. And Damsel's videos have always been random when it comes to meaning something or not -- not nearly consistent enough a source of "evidence" for the context of the argument. If anything, they indicate a sort of one-sided love between Damsel and Jessa, but that's still hardly something to soapbox about.

Reading Pale Fire for the second time right now, actually, so this reference was fun to see. The rest of Damsel's message, not so much. I'm still unclear on what the queue is exactly.

It could mean that she herself has posted a question TO the queue of unanswered questions waiting to be answered. That is speculation, and would only make sense once somebody uses her computer to answer questions... Embarassed

Also, just as an aside. Am I the only won who thinks that Evan looks/sounds like Randal from Clerks? Totally reminds me of him.

Can't wait for more!

Holy crap! Somebody else who thinks that! I guess it's the Jersey accent or something, seeing as "Clerks" was written and shot in New Jersey by Jersey natives.
But he's really got that Randall vibe going on.

Also, did anyone else notice the plaster/band-aid on Alex's arm?

A nod to the scratches from the Rake perchance?

Had to look up Kinbote. From Wikipedia:
Quote:

Charles Kinbote is the unreliable narrator in Vladimir Nabokov's novel Pale Fire.
Kinbote appears to be the scholarly author of the Foreword, Commentary and Index surrounding the text of the late John Shade's poem "Pale Fire", which together form the text of Nabokov's novel. In the course of initially academic but increasingly deranged annotations to Shade's text, Kinbote's writing reveals a comic melange of narcissism and megalomania: he believes himself to be a royal figure, the exiled king of Zembla and the real target of the gunman who has in fact murdered Shade

Wow, whoever is behind EH/CYSTW is pretty well read. I used to think it was just one person, now I'm thinking it's probably a team.

Anyway, one thing that has bothered me is the whole rake thing. Granted, we all saw the creature on the ground, but how can we be sure that it is the rake, and some other, new thing? I mean, it's like watching a Friday the 13th movie, and all of the sudden, you see Pinhead from HellRaiser.

Should we ask him about the band-aid?

Sounds like a job for Didz...

lol I thought you might say that......I'll find the message he sent a while ago about the scratches on his arms and legs. He says they're from Sparky from when he moves in his sleep and she thinks he' playing..........but who's to say it IS Sparky?

24th September 2010:

"Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: ...
ahahah aw, my dog is old. Although still VERY hyper. Being a Jack Russel she will be hyper till the day she goes. She sleeps in my bed, and when i wake up in the night, shes still running around in my room, growling at the window, and licking my cheek. She's a nut! Sometimes i move in my sleep, and scratches me thinking im playing. Last night i had a cut on my forearm that drew blood hahahha on my legs, usually where she sleeps on, are filled with scratches and cuts. Since ive been sick recently shes been real sweet. Like she can sense something, and instead of wrestling and being rough she just sits on my stomach or licks me"

Watch it turn out to be nothing and then Vince gets disemboweled by the Rake, just to mess with us.

It may be likely they go on this forum, but what I really was wondering and asking is: Are they forum Regulars? Are they posting in other threads and whatnot?

Also the Queu means she can have a post, but it won't appear for a set amount of time. I almost get the feeling that she doesn't expect to be able to post anymore. Period. As in, she's not pining for the fjords, she's joined the choir invisible.

It might mean she think Slendy will get her.

The admin said "No Dray, YOU are the EMH creator."

And then Dray turned into an Evan.
