I think I'm on a different page, the one where Evan is totes gonna bust her out.

While Evan Vs. New Jersey's finest would be an epic tale indeed, EVH seems to be a bit more grounded in reality than that. What's he going to do afterwards? Split the team up, fly to Canada, and ask for political asylum? That'd be an interesting set-up for another epic conflict: Slendy/Rake vs. The Mounties. You know you want it.

I don't think I could handle that level of awesome.

Given Sparky's reaction so far, I'd love to see how a deaf wolf-hound goes after Slendy. I think that would be very, very entertaining to watch!

Would Slendy have a scent? I totally forgot the wolf was deaf lol.
If slendy had a scent what would it be?

The most fantastic of kitschy, stereotype-based 90s television!

(posted with only the slightest bit of irony -- I actually did really like Due South on some level)

I think it's more of a sense of unease and dread rather than an actual scent. I think Sparky barks at The Rake not because it smells wrong or it looks frightening, but because it is wrong itself, not of this world.

Now that makes more sense. Was the Rake ever described as having claws?
I did a bit more digging with Alex and asked if he'd measured Sparky's claws to the claw marks on the closet panel. He said he had and that they were bigger but if she'd been scratching at them for a while, they'd get bigger.
He's got no idea what she's trying to get at behind there. He's checked for toys and stuff that she could have dropped but there's nothing. He's still not believing that her behaviour is odd, just thinks she's being annoying.

I'm going with this. They say dogs can see ghosts, after all. This does make me somewhat uneasy, since my dog has been going bat-crap crazy whenever I'm home alone these days...

I know that feeling, we've had to move my daughter out of her room and into ours because of some weird stuff happening. Our dogs go ape shit at something in there that we can't see and there's always a feeling that you're being watched. As EMH as that sounds it's very true. We're swapping rooms with her now because she's not scared of being in our room alone. Whatever it is happens all over the house but it's mainly that 1 room that makes everyone feel weird.

Press him about the white possum he saw, and tell him to keep on the lookout for it in case it's rabid. It may bite Sparky.

I really, really wish you hadn't said that. This sounds a whole lot like what I've been going through in my house, and almost right after I read this my dog jumped up and and started running in circles barking. Bloody 'ell.
