I'm kinda curious about the specifics of how this "videos that aren't there" thing works... so I have a question... they can't see Slender Man related content on their own channel right? So what about the Slender stuff on other people's channel's and other series? Like, if we sent them Marble Hornets links would they not see anything? If we re uploaded the hidden videos to a different channel would they see anything there? What if someone physically showed up at there houses one day with a laptop and tried to show them the videos on their channel? Would the universe implode?

Also, surely to goodness someone has tried to send the links to those videos to the crew... what was the response?

It's been discussed that what we see that they don't aren't actually videos, but their "memories", or things seen through their eyes whilst they happen (which is also why it's so stream of conscience when it comes to images and sounds).

It's been debated that these things are made available for us, whilst they don't exist in reality.

As for the context of the stuff - we don't know yet if everything that we see there really took place. If those guys will get their hands on Clouzot's L'ENFER, I can only dream what the next couple of videos will look like...

Experimental French cinema ftw.

Also, @Didlz: my sister used to sit up on her bed in the middle of the night and speak "in tongues". We never quite figured out what the hell was that.
Creepy as fuck.

The little "Slendy and the Rake" intermezzo made me laugh until I got tears in my eyes. Just fyk.

Aaaand, back at trying to figure out what the hell the Land of Ashen Waste is.

Okay, you definitely win in the creepy stuff that happens in your house stakes.
I mean, that's seriously scary.

Neh, she just watches her dad play left 4 dead etc. She laughs her head off every time he gets a head shot. She is an odd child. Has no fear whatsoever. As for the other creepy stuff, when we finally get round to swapping rooms with her I'll be sleeping with a camera on just in case I catch whatever it was that was upsetting her. Weirdest/creepiest thing that's happened is hearing a male voice say "it's ok" to her when she whined in her sleep. It's not been too bad recently though. Just the slendy shaped shadow on my bedroom wall that I'm not shitting brix about thanks to my better half lol.

EDIT: I'll try to get a video of my little "angel" growling at us during the day. It's usually when someone does something she doesn't like, such as telling her "no" lol.

Hmm...That reminds me of Pearl, from The Scarlet Letter for some reason. The father wouldn't happen to be priest would he? or you an adulterer? Wink

lol neh nothing like that. In fact her dad is atheist. I think she's just watched too many zombies. lol.

I've long held the theory that Slender Man "steals" memories (gaps in his victims' ability to remember, missing time in video recordings), so I wonder if these quasi-invisible videos- and the clips they can't seem to see in ordinary videos, like a door opening to Slender Man and a gagged Jeff- were somehow created that way. Are only we seeing them, or are their minds simply unable to grasp their existence because the memory of those occurences has literally been snatched from their brains?

Also, Tenessee and New York City are a lot closer to Jersey....

This. I think the Hybrids aren't seeing it because the memories have been taken from their minds, and perhaps turned into video by someone on the team who is working with Slendy/Rake

I wonder if it's Evan. Granted he seems fairly normal and sane at the moment...well.....apart from wanting to kill......but he's also had a few insane moments. Constantly walking in circles during a live stream, freaking out in the woods. Maybe he knows more than he's letting on. He's probably so worked up about Slendy now because he's been getting into his mind, making him do this stuff.

Evan seems to be the one Hybrid most willing (hell, eager) to believe that Slender Man is real... could believing in Slendy give him the ability to influence you in some way?

Evan could be handing over the keys to his brain and not even know it. Shocked

I am liking Centralia as the land of ashen waste. It's a reasonable distance for location shooting, and it looks like it might provide some great natural imagery. The fact that it sounds familiar to Jeff is promising.

Out of the blue, I started wondering again about the bit at 19:34 in the June 11 ustream, where it looks like somebody in purple pants rolls or falls into the doorway and then is dragged back out of the visible area. Vince put on his Viking hat to investigate and said everything was cool. Did anything ever develop from that or is it just an enigma for the ages?

Also, I'm hoping Damsel's queued post shows up soon. It's already been 48 hours; how long could she have expected to be detained?

How do you get bored of Marble Hornets? I mean, yeah, some entries were slow, but...every single person that I've shown the videos to had nightmares the night after...O.o

Maybe the Slender Distortion Field is now complete in Alex'n'Jeff's house, so the first MH entry looks like some guy randomly filming an empty yard and a porch light. Smile

Did Jeff ever specify where his burned down elementary school was located?

Also, @ Mattwan, idk how long she expected to be detained, but I think with her distrust of the police she would have it set to be a while. plus, she might even be so paranoid to suspect she may be wrongfully jailed (though she did seem indignantly prideful about not having anything to hide, this is soemtimes a shell for fear i think and she has obv not always told us what is going on with her); plus if they put her on suicide watch, i think some people are required to stay in a hospital or psych ward for at least a week or maybe a month or something before they're let out. so maybe she thought for a long time. maybe only a few days, idk, but the possibility of a longer wait exists.

Also, alex not liking the MH videos, might just be him being in character, haha.
