In all seriousness, I can sort of see what he is saying. There are all these deaths attributed to Slender Man(Logan, various dead peoples in Seeking The Truth, lots o' people in Dreams in Darkness, and the missing cast members from Marble Hornets), but we've never actually seen him do anything. It may be that he doesn't do anything, or that sometimes it's just easier/more entertaining for him to prompt people to self-destruct.

Yeah, in seriousness, I can see where he's coming from. Even in the blogs where deaths have been attributed directly to Slenders, they've mostly happened off-screen, haven't they? And if I recall correctly, the original Victor Surge photos suggested that Slenderman was either more of a harbinger of doom than the cause of it, or some sort of mind-controller that forced other people to do the actual killing.

I'm not thrilled by the suggestion that Slenderman is the personification, or punisher, of guilty consciences, but it would explain the drawing that was inserted into Jeff's emo video. If there were even the slightest bit of evidence that Jeff might be the killer, then this could be an interesting area for speculation; I just haven't seen anything that might be evidence for that.

I guess that means it would make one hell of a twist, though. Wink

As long as we are airing weird theories: Slender man seems too inhuman, too inscrutable to be a personification of guilt in the style of Silent Hill. However, what could be is that his presence is so unnatural, so not of this world that it warps the psyche in such a way that the guilty self-destruct because of it. Slenderillnes could just be the mind burning itself up because it cannot comprehend what it sees, and guilt exacerbates the problem.

Also, I don't think that the Slender Man is malicious. By which I mean, I don't mean he particularly wants his victims dead. Or necessarily understands the concept of death. Killing and bagging organs may just be how he communicates.

I don't have any direct evidence, but for a invincible, teleporting, mind-erasing agent of otherworldly terror, he sure has a low number of kills. A determined human could have turned Jay, Alex and the whole Marble Hornets crew into hamburger by entry two. Smile

okay, hit me if I'm trouting, but this:

Quote:
On October 10th,2010 the description of Alex's youtube channle changed to this several times during the day.

The Chicago Fire Department has ruled the cause of the fire undetermined. The amount and type of flammables within the structure make it difficult to determine what did or did not contribute to the start and spread of the fire. If new information becomes available, the department will review its findings its back up

is currently on Alex's wikia page and there's also an image, and the perosn who made the edit says to check the cache for Alex's site for 1 pm - 1.17 pm on 10 of Oct.

OK guys, WILD speculation!!

We have the nod that Slenderman would take "monsters", people who would grow up to do terrible things (or maybe also who did terrible things), sort of like a buddhist garbage man.

This would tie with the Silent Hill stuff, and probably also lead to the killing theory, to which I will now refer to as the "Lost Highway"-theory. If you've not seen the film, watch it now!!!

So Lost Highway theory - I'm not confident this is true, and I don't think it is for various reasons (Jess has no reason to kill Jessa at all), but here we go.

Somebody has sent Vince pictures of mangles animals, then the bags turned up. We are still not 100% sure what that was inside of the bags. Jessa has not been heard of/seen since afterwards. This could mean somebody who had interest in it sent Vince the pics to creep him out and then killed Jessa and put her into the bags, masking it as Slendy.

I don't believe in this - where did Slendy in this scene go? Why does he turn up at all? Was he there to show the guys the remains of Jessa, making then acknowledge what one of them has done? Possible, though unlikely.

So we know Jeff has a childhood trauma as well as Damsel. We don't know yet of Evan, Jessa and Vince, and also not of Alex.

What we know about them:

- Evan's nightmare
- Evan's and Vince's drawings
- Jessa's drawing of a "balloon man" (CREEEEEEEEEPY)
- Alex taste for gory horror films
- Evan's taste for BIG knives

So Evan could be a candidate for a psycho. If Slendy is the buddhist garbage man this theory would make him to be, then he might stalk the group because Evan is a danger to the others. However, what about Jeff's past then?? Has he set the school aflame? Was that why he hid in there and wasn't hurt?? After all, being trapped in a burning school, yet not suffering any scars is unlikely.

But still, why did Jessa disappear? Because she was alone? We have as of now not seen any ties she might have had to Slendy, apart from Damsel and having a balloon-man drawing. Notice that Evan seemed to have been stalked, as well as the entire group, but Jessa is by far not as involved as the others are. So why her if it was Slendy?

So yeah... now I confused myself... Embarassed Laughing And kind of made myself believe Jeff could be guilty...

OK, this justifies a new post...

This has to be a clue. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to just throw that out without a reason. Maybe to rase awareness to who the guy is - but why?

I looked the quote up, and whilst there are dozens of links with the quote, there's no information where it comes from, or what happened at the site of the burning.

Aw, hell. Good find!

Since the quotes all seem to reference a Chicago fire, and Afroman Larry Langford seems to have done all his doings in Alabama, it's not the same guy as in the background pictures.

But!

A little googling shows that the quotes are attributable to a completely different Larry Langford, who is the spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department.

What. The. Hell.

Bleeding Tartarus. I don't know if that's the most clever puzzle I've ever seen in a Slenderblog/vlog, or the biggest red herring ever.

hmm.. Looking up articles in the Chicago Tribune about LArry Langford only brought me two articles that caught my eye.

One of a fire that had an unknown cause

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2006-06-11/news/0606110334_1_chicago-fire-department-20-unit-building-larry-langford

Although, it started in the stairwell, not the roof..

and one about another firefighter that seemed to get in trouble for a chatroom he made

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2004-08-04/news/0408040357_1_chat-room-fire-department-internet-site

Although, I'm not sure if either of these articles are related.. though I am curious to what kind of chatroom it was. haha.
