good spot RJohn,

i do hope it's joyce, i did my first dissertation on him and a finnegan's wake based ARG would be impressive!

woolf has the triple link of being part of the previous solve, and 'the hours' connection with our clock pic, but also because she worked on some of her novels at the british museum, in the Reading Room.

as an aside, King George III (team 1's dates) donated a huge number of books to the museum, which would also have been available in the Reading Room.

don't think Tutankamun ever visited there Smile but there was a famous Tut exhibition some years ago.

Team one:

1820: Anne Bronte was born, died 1849. Also, if you search the British Museum, you get a Babylonian Brick.

http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/highlights/highlight_objects/me/b/babylonian_brick.aspx

1738: not sure yet.

re mycroft7

thanks - i'm very new to this but enjoying a fast-paced literary ARG...

(ps never made it through finnegans wake, or ulysses for that matter Embarassed although 'the dead' is rather wonderful - and shorter!)

Team 1:
George III was married to a Charlotte with whom he had 15, count em, 15 kids, who then, in what can only be described as a monumental failure of protocol, had gobs of grandkids, none of whom were legitimate heirs to the throne. Actually, one...Princess Charlotte...

Probably entirely unrelated, but still cool...

Summary

Just a short summary of what we have:

Team 1:
* AD1738 AD1820 (maybe Georg III)
* -
* -

Team 2:
* AD1882 AD1941 (maybe Virgina Wolf or James Joyce)
* wheel of fortune
* -

Team 3:
* BC1341 BC1323 (maybe Tutankhamun)
* hello-kitty-tarot-death
* ancient-egyptian-tower-tarot

So I hope we (team 1) will get some images, too.

Yeah, Team One can't really do much without images. We have George III, Anne Bronte's birth and... not much else.

If it is King George, that might make sense. George also has a display in the museum of his library. It is in what is now the Enlightenment room, or room one, which houses the Demeter statue.

That's convenient with the birth and death dates, though the five of coins implies material hardship and ill health. We all know George was crazy as sin.

EDIT and SON OF EDIT:

I just got a card for team two:

Hi Team One. Re the Coins tarot card: George III is the face on the 1775 and 1795 Guinea gold coins.
FWIW less than an hour to go and am truly stumped on the meaning behind Team Three's tarot cards.

"GO!"

Thinking maybe there is significance to the other libraries as well: King's Library (King George) and the Royal Library of Alexandria since it goes out of its way to mention it.

Team 1: so typing chariot and our dates into the search gives one result:
