I'm starting to find it very peculiar that two made up "paranormal" entities from the internet would show up at our door step and be terrorizing us. With that being said I'm still looking for some ONE person who would try and set all this up and keep at it for this long.

Got this on Sunday after sending them a message on their Youtube account.

Nice work, Karuvitomsk! It's kind of charming that he's still trying to play Scooby Doo, assuming it's all Farmer Johnson with a variety of rubber masks and hologram projectors. Maybe a gay kid in a handkerchief will save them after all. Smile

Anyone else know of any internet-only extradimensional/paranormal terrors? Maybe one of them leaves behind ash.

Oh! There's one I can't believe I forgot. This may be the granddaddy of them all, from before /x/ was even born: Black Eyed Kids. Maybe the Afroman eye thing wasn't a Zalgo reference at all.

I POSTED THAT SAME THEORY A WHILE AGO DAMMIT

I also voted for something from the Scp Foundation.

Also, I had forgotten about the Black Eyed Kids! We need a creepypasta resident expert here.

Yes. Confused

Best check out the wiki, there is a good list with a viewing order, and youtube has a playlist with links to the ustreams and all that's in order.

It's really worth it too. It's just amazing how they pull off something as well written, done and conceived seemingly without effort.

I know I come in here once in a blue moon and put up maybe half a coherent thought (I still think the No Body paper has CANYOUSEETHEWORDS or some sort of quote from her site), but something I thought was interesting was the blackened eyes of the Afroman pic. Someone else mentioned Zalgo (sorry I don't have the funky Zalgo textamajig, pretend for me Very Happy ) in relation to that. Zalgo is another internet made-up baddy, right? Someone asked the iamslenderman facebook Slendy if he knew Zalgo at some point earlier this year... (Not that it's of HUGE significance to the EMH story, but still thought it was funny)

Maybe the internet is turning inside out and puking all it's horror on the HYBRIDs.

We got Slendy, we got a little glimpse of Rake's pale tush, and we also have a teensy blink-and-you-missed-it Zalgo reference.

I'm pretty sure Zalgo is sometimes referred to as "He who waits behind the wall" which seems to be where Alex's little demon friend has been hiding.

Probably the only one to admit it. Wink It really is a good one, and worth giving it some time to sludge through.I would suggest watching all the EMH youtube vids in order, then their tweets, then the CYSTW blog. That gives you a good foundation, then you can explore some of the rest from the wiki to fill in the blanks. If you haven't watched the entire Marble Hornets series beforehand, do that first.

Oh, hell. I hope at least the puppy survives.

But in reality, I'm pretty sure the Zalgo theories are a dead end. I believe this not because of anything in the videos, really, but for two reasons:

1. Production costs. Showing any kind of Zalgoic corruption would be pretty damned expensive. Even all-black contact lenses, it turns out, are like $130 a pair.

2. This, for me, is the biggie: while you can get away with something like "Zalgo" or "He Who Waits Behind Walls" in text, you really can't say those in a video without sounding kind of ridiculous. They're inherently campy when spoken, which isn't the tone they've been going for so far.

I think it may be Zalgo actually, now that I've done some research. It would explain a lot, actually. The editing problems (Zalgo can infect the net and change things, Slenderman has never been said to have this ability) and videos they can't see. The cost of contacts isn't a problem because certain things can be acheived through digital effects, which these guys have shown a talent for. I think it'd be great if the end game on this series was a three-way battle between Zalgo infected Alex, Rake and Slenderman in an apocalyptic showdown of ultimate destiny.

The poor Rake would be torn to pieces.

My money's on Slendy beating Zalgo, btw.

And, of course, Mr. Rogers. Wink

Wait a sec, i thought Zalgo was a what, not a who.

Zalgo infected Alex vs. Slenderman vs. The Rake

That would be epic but the video editing would be star wars professionalism.

You mean being done by somebody charged large sums of money, whilst it looks like a TVfilm/PS2videogame and a funny looking... thing that annoys everybody and sounds like Eddy Murphy is jumping around?

...in a blood stained sweater.

In all seriousness, I doubt that an Ultimate Crossover of Ultimate Destiny is what's in the cards for these folks. The logistics are unsurmountable. Zalgo is the most Lovecraftian of the famous internet horrors. And Lovecraftian horror works best in written form. To adequately represent the Zalgo corruption effect in live action footage, they'd need the budget of Avatar and the visual ingenuity of Willis O'Brien.

Don't get me wrong, there may be some crossover -- the entity that is almost certainly the Rake proves it -- but it, by force of necessity, must be a great deal more low-key than Zalgo fighting an army of Rakes ridden by black-eyed children atop Empire State Building while, in the skies, clockwork lobsters devour the invasion of flying polyps. Which, while mildly disappointing, is okay. I find the combination of Slenderman and Rake quite scary enough in its own right.

EDITED: To remove Zalgo font.
