It's best not to read 50 comments for every clue...

As someone who resolved the final location tonight (after extensive research) and will be digging there this weekend when it's not raining, I can say that reading the thoughts of 50 different people for every part of 8 episodes is not the way to go about it. I stopped reading the forum after episode 1 and used my own mind and research instead. I joined as a member today and have read the last few hundred posts. 90+% of what I've seen is far from reality.

The fact is they mean it when they said to not go digging everything up. When you find it... you will know it. They are absolutely right. In addition, all of the "nonsense" things make total sense in the end (ie: tutty, potato, crow's nest, tattoo, balto, comics. gorilla, etc. etc.). They do all flow together perfectly when you discover how to link them. I'm very impressed with how creative these guys are and how much I've learned as a result. Awesome!!! Looking forward to updating this forum with results and if it works out displaying my research and conclusions.

P.S. I've participated in SantaCon the last 3 yrs- has nothing to do with this. Nice pics though.

Sometimes a lost treasure is just a lost treasure-Bert and Earnie!

Sometimes a phone number is just a phone number. Especially if the website specifically states "No clues here." That's all I'm saying, Captain.

Sometimes all we are sayin cap'n is all we're sayin' if ye get what we are sayin'.

Until I see that someone found it or that it was B.S. on every local news channel (like when it was launched) or their web site, I will still be packing my car with shovels and heading there this weekend.

If this is true then you must know the snake location from episode 6. What borough is this in?

Snake has nothing to Do
location

The number 6 train or any other train that is green has nothing to do with the final location. If you are still in McCarren you are lost.

I Want My Gold
Correct

I Want my gold is correct. Most of you people on here were obsessing over the wrong things. (We'll except for most of the women, but even some of them were going off in the wrong direction).

People who might have been really helpful were chased off this forum mostly by one person. People have been really nasty and obnoxious to others. No need for that. People have been obsessed about technical equipment. People obsessed over little thing that have nothing to do with the treasure hunt or it's location. People totally ignoring others that had valid clues and not bs. The list goes on and on. I'm new to all this but, I checked out other treasure hunts on this forum and people work together.

Do me a favor Iwantmygold please post pictures of the area so I could say to my husband see I had the right spot because he thinks that I don't know what I am talking about. Just make sure you bring people with you because the surrounding neighborhood is not too hot.

Re: I Want My Gold

Thanks! I'm SO glad that I didn't spend all of my time on the forum. If my research is correct (feel very strongly- yes) and I post my results, everyone here will be shocked that most of this information doesn't matter in the end.

The best thing that I could have done is not read or participate. My eyes are really sore from researching so much but for what I've learned about my favorite city its worth it.

Pics, maps, my research etc. will be posted if correct. I'm a Consultant/Teacher (Engineer) and want people to learn just like I did.

P.S. I am a woman (not part of the group that's being talked about). Also- I have a Police Officer friend that will be going with me that works in that area (to keep me from getting into trouble- either arrested or someone trying to pry away the gold!).

It only matters if you understand everything that's going on in 7 and 8. Otherwise, it might not make sense.

Are you guys talking about the sugar house by police headquarters? If so good luck. I went there last week and also a few weeks back and had no luck finding anything. And I'm pretty sure someone looked there before I did too.

If you're wrong, can you post your thinking too? (Or PM, but I don't want to be selfish). I think sometimes even wrong ideas help make right ideas come to light. I kind of hope your are right, because the last person who said they knew where the gold was acted pretty condescendingly calling people who hadn't figured it out yet idiots. Nearly two weeks later its still at large, ironically.

That's irony, that is. Wink
