Missing person? In an ARG? Where do they get these crazy ideas?!? Wink

LOL...Now now, credit where credit is due; technically, this one has TWO missing persons, that's got to be worth something... Smile

Protip: Find yourself in an ARG? It's assured that no one else can find you now.

iwascharlottebronte.com updated with Big Ben ringing three times.

to be fair, i didn't see that coming! do we even know/trust this g person? i have a problem with people who are only known by initial letters...

on the plus side, there's already a bunch of strands to this what with the two missing fathers, the dead sister, the ghosts, fortune tellers etc. not to mention the queen's legs. another missing person just means an even bigger story to work through, which given the quality so far is good news.

glad i didn't drive down to heathrow to welcome her off the plane tho Smile

I'm glad that G has entered the picture more prominently now! I expect he will also post on his personal blog soon, too.

Big Ben tolling three... Does this mean something is going to happen at 3 (AM/PM)? Should we keep our browsers open on iwascharlottebronte.com?

Hm.

It'd be in a few hours, actually, if we're going by London time. It's 12:52ish am there now.

Great job finding out what the image was!
http://iranawaytotrees.wikispaces.com has been updated with another map labeled. There's a route passing from Big Ben through the Tower of London, to Madame Tussaud's Planetarium. So guess that confirms the location.
I too am wondering how G is going to play into all of this, and why the kidnapper somewhat pretends to be G. Very interested in the story.

back up now... with this gif/map.

'Ghost' leads to that Wikipedia entry, 'Alex was here' to a mailto page, and 'I was Charlotte..." to a crossword puzzle.

ETA: There seems to be a bug in the puzzle page (and at least one wrong answer) that, hopefully, will be fixed.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
clicking the 'solve' button fills in the word.

lorimomo This is Lori's sister Sylvie. Found a link to this on her blog. I will update the blog, but I'm not going to do any of this twitter shit.

And the blog has indeed been updated by sister Sylvie who btw isn't the shy little sis.

So I emailed the words from the crossword puzzle to the "words, words, words,,," link, assuming that this is what has been expected from us.

ok so we have confirmation that our guess as to the whereabouts of the picture jigsaw was correct.

from the three links we have:

a page on ghosts - is the angry spirit of laura's 'real' father involved in this somehow? no body has ever been recovered, and altho he was apparently identified can we be certain he is actually dead? or is this to do with laura's sister, or elisabeth, or even G (can you tell i just don't trust that guy?)

the crossword puzzle - worked fine for me, completed it but disappointingly didn't get a link anywhere or a reward, so i am guessing we needed the words for

the mailto page - words, words, words. i have emailed a set of the correct crossword puzzle words to the mailto address.

and that seems to be all for now.

mycroft

EDIT

sorry AUZ, didn't see your message til after i had posted mine. two sets of answers on their way then Smile

Nah, it's still broke. Any puzzle that solves itself is broke. And Voltaire (at least) is wrong. Maybe that's the point? Prolly not.

i didn't try the solve puzzle thing so can't comment on that. but why do you think voltaire is wrong?

i was only going off the wikipedia page, admittedly, so there's always a chance it is inaccurate. but the wiki entry names voltaire as tussaud's first wax figure, created in 1777?

Nothing is broken for me. I do not have a "solve" button, just a "check puzzle" button, which says how many errors you have. And "voltaire" is accepted as correct.

It's not.

Like Pancito's puzzle, mine was self-solving. Mentioned that as a jibe to our villain texter and said to leave Lori unharmed.

That was just a warm-up my dear

EDIT: A new puzzle is up under the hyperlink "puzzled". Self-solves into a threatening msg. My own take on it:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
she is safe but not for long. some others like easy. did you? stupid. my little game will be hard.
