me neither and even online they aren't selling aren't selling anything beyond the video game. at least Walmart is selling stuff online even if you can't find it in stores.

I've been to a Target in Santee and a Target in El Cajon and they both had Tron merch. I picked up a deluxe disc just the other day.

i've been to a bunch of targets for other shopping needs and thought i'd see the status of the selection there: still nothing.

two weeks ago, a few toys r us didn't have a thing. in west la, one employee said there were customers that came earlier who have been cleaning house & just came from the one in ventura.

one toys r us at del amo had a bunch of stuff at one time, where i got both clu and sam's zero g light cycles and a deluxe disc. i posted over at tron sector, and the following day someone clean it out.

since i've been messaged a few times last night, thought i'd share that the clu deluxe light cycle i purchased was at the walmart in torrance. the one at crenshaw had no toys.

for me, the best and consistent selection has been the disney stores -where i got sam's deluxe light cycle, a light runner, and kevin flynn's light cycle.

the places i would recommend to check are disney stores, toys r us, and maybe walmart -incentive being the exclusive clu deluxe light cycle. some stores -especially walmart and target- might have employees who have no idea what tron is, so the best bet is to go there and check every so often.

so, when/where you get them will vary depending on what's in stock and demand.

and, if you would like the light cycle ornament that lights up, hallmark stores carry them:

toys i've bought:

all i'm interested in at this point are the art of tron book (which has been pushed back to november), the iphone & ipad cases (if they decide to sell them) and the game. but rumor of a series 2 & other stuff coming out might change that. heh

good luck!

edited to add: and to get the soundtrack track of course. Smile

Still no package from Disney. It's a shame, I'm dying to get my hands on them.

FYI - For anyone living in Raleigh, North Carolina it looks like Target has just about everything being offered including some exclusive battle sets.

Just out of curiosity what are you guys picking up, figure-wise? The Deluxe figures aren't really doing it for me. I really dig the smaller figs, though. Picked up 3" Rinzler today.

But, is it me, or did they do an awful job on the Kevin Flynn face sculpt. Looks more like fat Ben Kenobi in his p.j.s than Jeff Bridges:

Was hoping this would be the best figure, but I think it is the worst of the 3" series.

Re: DisneyStore.com light cycles

I received my Disney order today and it was the diecast light cycles. I called their CS with quickness. They were very helpful. At first they wanted to send a replacement, which I declined, I didn't want another shipment of diecast vehicles. So the rep said to send them back, to which I told her that they need to provide the shipping charges back to them since it was their mistake. They than told me to keep the toys and gave me a full refund.

at some of the other boards they've commented on how the figures could be better. from what i hear it's a struggle getting kevin flynn into his own light cycle. lol. and i agree that it looks nothing like jeff bridges.

as far as i know, there's 3 sizes of figures: the advertised 4" (more like 3 & 3/4" in size), the 7", and the 12". both the 7" & 12" ones have the projected face display & sound. someone over at tron sector was able to get the 12" by asking for a 'dcpi' number and getting it from the back stock of the store.

i only purchased a clu 4" figure to see how'd it fit. it was a challenge to get him to sit properly in either sam's deluxe light cycle or the light runner.

but, i'm much more interested in the light-up vehicles than the figures. the figures didn't do it for me either.

minterbartolo:
i had it on pre-order at amazon. it used to say something like october 20 or 22, but you can see the current date here: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Tron-Legacy-Justin-Springer/dp/1423131495/ other sites are still saying around october 20 but guess we'll see what happens -just like how the soundtrack was pushed back.

bluetronwarrior:
thanks for letting us know about the order. sorry to hear that. at least you were able to get them for free.

Ah, well that sucks. I'll still remain hopeful in thinking that I'll get lucky and receive what I ordered, but it's doubtful.

I got the deluxe disc at Target last night for $14.99. They also had several different action sets for $4.99, the baton launcher for $14.99 and the Ultimate Sam Flynn 12 in. figure for $29.99. Then the usual deluxe vehicles, racing set, die cast and deluxe figures. The 12 in. Flynn is pretty bad-ass, I may have to pick one up. Still looking for the Recognizer play set, that's the main item on my list now.

I called Disney last night and they told me to donate the die cast cycles to my favorite charity. Which is me of course. I also have the supervisor working on getting me the correct toys. I tried to explain what is going on with their website, but they don't seem to get it.
She tried explaining to me that I had the correct item. I said' "really, then how come it doesn't light up and is made of metal and not plastic and I really don't think the core figure will fit on or in these cycles....."

Oh boy... some customer service they have there. I was still really nice about it though...

I picked up all the die-cast light cycles, the die-cast recognizer and the deluxe light cycle today at Target in Boston, MA.

The Deluxe Light Cycle is bad ass! Lights up, makes sound and has a hologram in the box.

They also had several of the other toys, including the 12" Sam Flynn figure with the 'hologram" faceplate and sound. Wanted that too, but couldn't drop the $40 on it. Didn't care for the die cast Clu vehicle though. Thought it was weak. They also had a remote control light cycle that "climbs walls". So wanted to get that as well, but it was $50 I think.

!!!

Quote:
Identity Disk from Tron: Legacy. (Walt Disney Pictures, 2010) This instantly recognizable prop is an Identity Disk from one of the most anticipated films of 2010, Tron: Legacy. In the Tron universe, Identity Disks serve multiple functions: a sophisticated recording device, they hold special codes or instructions from their users and also as boomerang-like combat weapon or shield. When used as a weapon, upon impact with another program, the disk blows right through the intended victim causing him or her to "derez". This impressively detailed prop is constructed from ABS plastic, aluminum elements and translucent styrene backlit with LEDs which emit a cool bluish/purple light activated by a small switch in the inner ring. Measures 10 in. diameter. This is the first time a prop from Tron: Legacy has been offered at public auction. Includes a Variety/Disney COA. $2,000 - $3,000
