just went to the walmart in torrance and stopped by the toy aisle today. they still have a few clu deluxe light cycles, a light runner, a bunch of kevin flynn light cycles, most of the 7" figures, some 4" ones, & a few diecast stuff. there's no identity discs or the baton. the place is packed, terrible lines. i didn't buy a thing.

Identity Disk from Tron: Legacy. (Walt Disney Pictures, 2010) This instantly recognizable prop is an Identity Disk from one of the most anticipated films of 2010, Tron: Legacy. In the Tron universe, Identity Disks serve multiple functions: a sophisticated recording device, they hold special codes or instructions from their users and also as boomerang-like combat weapon or shield. When used as a weapon, upon impact with another program, the disk blows right through the intended victim causing him or her to "derez". This impressively detailed prop is constructed from ABS plastic, aluminum elements and translucent styrene backlit with LEDs which emit a cool bluish/purple light activated by a small switch in the inner ring. Measures 10 in. diameter. This is the first time a prop from Tron: Legacy has been offered at public auction. Includes a Variety/Disney COA. $2,000 - $3,000

it BETTER find a good home!

Look real closely.... that's the $20 Identity disc from Toys R Us. The button is even the same size and the same place. The movie props, were most likely using CGI to add in the glow of the disc and wouldn't light up as is listed in the description. I do not believe the post as being a real prop from the movie.

I thought the same thing. not that I could afford the $2000 bid anyway. I contacted the seller and asked for some clarification and linked the toysrus toy in the email. seems like a high priced scam.

Actually that's not correct.

According to the person who built the prop discs they all have LEDs installed inside and light up appropriately.

Here's a post from the creator of the discs on RPF:

went in to Target today and picked up a few items:

http://yfrog.com/53s1gj

Not everything was available there, but I'll be making sure I get it all, I think

Store display: http://yfrog.com/hqx04vj

Click through the yfrog images for some card backers, but they came out inverted for some reason (I think my phone thought it was inverted...)

I picked up one of each die-cast item there (no command ship or clu guard cycle or light runner).

There's a partial list of available merchandise at the disney store: http://bit.ly/aX4KiL

I really hope there's a deluxe recognizer at some point.

also, the www.spinmaster.com/tron/ link on the back of the cards does NOT work. They don't list any TRON stuff there at all, actually.

oh, and some rather interesting tidbits on the items that give some info about the movie, like on Flynn's light cycle...

i agree with Coasterg. i have been reading the prop rpf tron threads too.

that the photo is not the toy, and the materials are different. as a point of reference, i took apart my deluxe toy to look at the circuitry a few weeks back:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfeathers/sets/72157624977206831/

earlier, i have seen that auction on profilesinhistory.com as mentioned somewhere in rpf. it has the same auction photos and has the same seller phone number as 'profiles in history' (who are doing a large auction clearing of other movie props -from 'back to the future' and other movies. they have been covered by gizmodo and moviefone). the tron item there:

still nothing at the Target or Walmart here in Clear Lake area. My Walmart ship to store was pretty quick and I ended up ordering the impulse line using the bonus ecards I was able to get all 4 figures for $28 since I had $20 from previous order and each figure came with $5 card. I bought 3 in one order then used the $15 I earned with that order to basically get the 4th figure for free.

only left I want is Clu's lightcycle vehicle and the Target 2" movie scenes.

Got my Disney stuff in the mail. I got the standard vehicles, no deluxe items were sent. At Target I picked up a Zero Gravity Air Hogs, a Deluxe Identity Disk, and a Deluxe Sam Flynn action figure.
