This is the only set that will be made.
due to lack of responses...

Due to lack of responses from those whom originally said they were interested I think it's safe to say this will be the only set that will be produced.

Only half the people have put down deposits, feelings aren't hurt, but pocketbooks are.

I understand the economy is a large factor in some people not being able to get a set, but for those that can afford to get a set, I think it is safe to announce that if you want more than one set, than that is perfectly ok.

Later on you can use them for trading on here, hopefully if I can get a second set maybe one day I can trade for some stuff I have missed out on, but for now I personally am excited to get even one set.

To those who have left deposits, thank you for making this a fun venture and hopefully they will be done here in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully in the future these will be remembered as the shaved_ape/socal steve limited sets that almost never were, or possibly the socal steve/shaved_ape limited sets that should have never been made in the first place.

As far as I am concerned to me they are a piece of Tron history because that is what we wanted them to truly be. So thanks for all your help and support and let's see if a few more people can help to get these finished.

If you need the other 50% please let me know. These are a great premium item that I'm definitely jumping on. At $100, it's really not that bad. $50 now and $50 in a couple weeks. Not that terrible. I'm excited for these. I'll even support the pins if we can get those for the badges. Maybe even split them up as to not incur too much of a hit by one single person....

I am not sure, I don't want to say yes or no.

But for the most part I think we need the deposits 50% or 100% from the people who are on the list who haven't payed yet.

But email Steve and ask him. From his account we aren't even that close to having what we need to pick these up when we are done.

Flynn Lives Buttons for the Flynn Lives achievement badges

Inadvertent bump. I've been working on cropping all of the Flynn Lives achievement badges. I also found a website that will make 100 buttons for about .22 cents a piece. Works out to roughly $22 a member to have them made. If we can get 22 members to make 100 badges each we can trade, and then we'll sell the rest to those that didn't participate in the button making themselves. Fair, and other FL members could purchase them once the trading is done. Buy your geometric answers!!!

Yes they'd be 1" each, I found a website called purebuttons dot com and they have a template I downloaded and cropped the badges to. Unfortunately the badge images are already low res and small in size so it only fills 3/4 of the 1" circle, but still looks cool with the black background. I'm wondering if after the geometric answers get out, and paid for etc, we can maybe get some guys in on these buttons of badges.

buttons.
?

I tried a few methods of trying to mess around with some of these but in all circumstances they pixelate.

I would probably want a set if there was a clean way of doing it.

I tried the "print screen" and pasting them into photoshop but they pixelate, then I tried saving the image and they pixelate.

How did you get around this.

BTW. For those of you who are on the list who haven't left deposits, I would say one more week then I take you off the list unless you contacted me.

If you try to get back on the list the individual price for you goes up to $200, Steve may disagree with this but I see some of you have logged on since I have sent pm's. If you don't want a set just say so and I will take you off of the list. But we gave the guy at the toy company the go ahead with the assumption that you guys would put up a deposit. Now we may not be able to pick them up and we are screwed all around if we don't have enough $ to pick them up.

I am sending pms again right now.

You guys are going to be kicking yourselves if you let this pass. socalsteve and shaved_ape have really upped the bar on fan-driven coolness, and you gotta get in on the ground floor!

This, for all its nerdiness, is something that will last a lifetime and probably more. I can't wait to get mine.

Thanks again you two for spearheading this! Everyone else, just say you're not interested or pay-simple as that.

(Don't hold me to it, but I'm seriously considering adding another set...)

Almost Finished!!!
spoke to Steve and good news.

Steve will be giving the company a visit later this week or next to see how they are coming and Steve says very soon he will be able to post pics of a fully colored set.

For those of you who have not put your name on the list get ready to because hopefully these will look pretty good and once they are finished they should "hopefully" sell themselves.

Pictures from Steve coming soon guys.

Thanks for being patient and they are getting closer and closer to being finished.

High(er) rez badges.

I noticed that everyone seems to want these badges to be made, so I started working on a vector re-draw on each badge.

Is this what you're looking for?

Exactly 1" by 1" at 200 DPI just to ensure quality.

Hell for printing I would say go 300dpi just to be safe.

I worked in a print shop for years and each time someone did less than 300 it usually creates problems for the printer just because it always does something on it's own.

But that looks really good for what it will be.

You're probably right.... It might even make the 8-bit GFX scale a bit better. Resizing now...
