Wheres Josh Minker?
Its been over a month since the last update..
Longer than any gap since he started..
Seems odd that he was going to think on it for a few days and then nada..

Do you suppose THEY found him?

Hmmm..

C'mon PM's Toss us a fish-bone??

and its now 6 weeks since Josh last posted..

Somethings up methinks..

Josh said he was going to think on his new tank for a few days.. well, if he had bought one he surely would have boasted about it on his blog, no? And even if he decided not to buy it, he would have made an entry telling us so...

Either 'They" have found him or he really has stopped posting publicly..

If he doesnt respond to Mysterioso's invite, we will know to start looking for him..

It must mean something tho that the game wardens would stop his journal after establishing a constant pattern of monthly blogging.. They must know we would become inquisitive about his absence of writing....
This plus the warning that "They are looking in the wrong place" suggests to me that they may have looked in the right place and found him..

Anyone agree?

new post oct 20th

here you go: OCTOBER 20TH
By Josh | Published: October 20, 2010
Gotta hurry – lunch hour. OK, some of you have rightfully been on me about my August post. I'm a little embarrassed about it, it's slightly out-of-character for me. But glad to know no one is judging, right? Well, what can I say, it happens. Especially when you think you may be at the start of something great. At least, here's hoping I'm not the only one that feels that way!

Anyway, onto some sad news. One of my favorites, my Red Oscar fish, Nelson, passed away. For any newbies reading this, I'm sure I sound crazy for being upset about this. But trust me when I say these are smart fish, you can develop a real relationship with these guys and after 11 years – well, I imagine it's not far off from what it feels like to lose a dog.

So, under the heading of LIFE IS SHORT, I have decided to buy the new aquarium. Will try to post pictures when it arrives. This will really step up my private collection and I am very excited. You have to get what you need to be happy when you can, right?

And for those of you who wont relent about the Bobbit Worm in with my fish Photo Slider: I don't know why posting the pic the has gotten so many snide comments, but I think it's cool – so, there you go.

new post oct 20th

Thanks for the heads up.

It's great to see he is still alive, and apparently no one found him (yet).

Josh's blog

The whole thing seemed a bit convoluted. Oscar fish named nelson dies, Life Is Short about an aquarium and then the Bobbit worm.

Now I have a really warped sense of humor. Too bad his fish wasn't named Lorena. Maybe his trained fish weilded a knife.

Life is a short Bobbit Worm Wink

Nice to hear, he is alive. But what does he mean with this Bobbit worm? Why shall we pay so much attention to it?

Here for reference what he wrote:

Quote:
The Bobbit worms sharp teeth and speed can sometimes cut it's prey in halfs. It grows up to 9.8 ft, the length of an Anaconda.

Well, is it fully out of clue? Or are we missing something?

P.S. And does he have some worry about his fate btw?

Is he in hurry? From other side: if he would prepare himself for long travel, would he buy new aquarium for new fishes who will live in his absense?..

Josh brings attention to his August post here. I'm sorry if this is a repeat (I can't stand to go through 60 pages of this topic to check), but what kind of potential hidden messages has anyone found or tried to find using the typos, run ons, and errors in his 112 post? I tried looking at all the letter errors I could find and treating them as an anagram. Some of the things I got are SHIP IS LUNAR; SAIL RUN SHIP; SHIP URINALS; INSULAR SHIP; etc. Insular means of or relating to an island or dwelling or situated on an island.

Yes, I also read this as John bringing attention to his typo post again. Reading this very thread here hasn't given me the impression that the typos have been dealt with enough. There doesn't even seem to be agreement on which letters are supposed to be part of John's "message".

So let's try it again. I see slightly different letters than you (bolding missing letters, wrongly added letters by John and letters that should be capital)

Well, that waS unexpected. The whole office went out for drinks tonight, thanks to Sarah. She's the new supeR. We surpassed sales this month so we got to celebrate. Big deal in this climate. I may have had a few too many – these keys are starting to run together on me
But turns out I learned a thing or two by going out for once,. Sarah didn't know her dad growing up, either. We have a lot (IN?) common. ItSwas pretty funny. And Clive scoffed too. His dad was a forest ranger and just never came back one day. I think CLive might've made that story up, now that I think about it. Probably Sarah didn't bUy it. OK!! I need to sleep.

All in all I get:

S R . , (in) S A H C L U P I , or SRSAHCLUPI without the "in".

Anagram maker for first: http://is.gd/gapL4
Anagram maker without "in": http://is.gd/gapGe

(I prefer "I slap urchins." Naughty John!)

Thanks Trustiva - I left out the C in Clive. With it in I didn't see anything that stands out as meaningful.

flibble666 - At this point, I don't think there's enough info to determine if something is a hint or nothing. There are all kinds of potential hidden message systems.
I figured it was worth looking into.

RocketMountaineer;
You stated, in part, "I tried looking at all the letter errors I could find and treating them as an anagram. Some of the things I got are SHIP IS LUNAR; SAIL RUN SHIP; SHIP URINALS; INSULAR SHIP; etc. Insular means of or relating to an island or dwelling or situated on an island."
I'm not sure what letters you're making reference to, but I noted:
a missing "s" in "wa"
you could say that Josh missed the letters "rvisor" when he referred to Sarah as the new "supe."
Josh missed the word "in" in the sentence, "We have a lot common."
There was an added "s" in "Itswas."
He leaves out an "l" in "cive."
He leaves out a "u" in the word "by."
So, that's "s", "in", "s", "l", "u", and possibly "rvisor"

I think that you're possibly considering the word "might've" as being incorrect, thereby accounting for the "h" and the "a." However, note this link, showing that "might've" is considered correct:
