Thanks Trustiva - I left out the C in Clive. With it in I didn't see anything that stands out as meaningful.

flibble666 - At this point, I don't think there's enough info to determine if something is a hint or nothing. There are all kinds of potential hidden message systems.
I figured it was worth looking into.

its simply my views im not saying there rite or wrong but the post title just seems to be that a title i mean the posts befor and after are 111 and 113 but there could be more in the spelling.

Josh brings attention to his August post here. I'm sorry if this is a repeat (I can't stand to go through 60 pages of this topic to check), but what kind of potential hidden messages has anyone found or tried to find using the typos, run ons, and errors in his 112 post? I tried looking at all the letter errors I could find and treating them as an anagram. Some of the things I got are SHIP IS LUNAR; SAIL RUN SHIP; SHIP URINALS; INSULAR SHIP; etc. Insular means of or relating to an island or dwelling or situated on an island.

Yes, I also read this as John bringing attention to his typo post again. Reading this very thread here hasn't given me the impression that the typos have been dealt with enough. There doesn't even seem to be agreement on which letters are supposed to be part of John's "message".

So let's try it again. I see slightly different letters than you (bolding missing letters, wrongly added letters by John and letters that should be capital)

Well, that waS unexpected. The whole office went out for drinks tonight, thanks to Sarah. She's the new supeR. We surpassed sales this month so we got to celebrate. Big deal in this climate. I may have had a few too many – these keys are starting to run together on me
But turns out I learned a thing or two by going out for once,. Sarah didn't know her dad growing up, either. We have a lot (IN?) common. ItSwas pretty funny. And Clive scoffed too. His dad was a forest ranger and just never came back one day. I think CLive might've made that story up, now that I think about it. Probably Sarah didn't bUy it. OK!! I need to sleep.

All in all I get:

S R . , (in) S A H C L U P I , or SRSAHCLUPI without the "in".

Anagram maker for first: http://is.gd/gapL4
Anagram maker without "in": http://is.gd/gapGe

(I prefer "I slap urchins." Naughty John!)

I Checked some anagrams too and i got these as well:
Lunar Chi Sips
Lunar Chi Piss
Lunar Chi Psis
Lunar Chip Sis
Lunar Chips Is
Lunar Chis Sip
Lunar Chis Pis
Lunar Chis Psi
Lunar Pic Hiss
Lunar Pics His
Lunar Sic Hips
Lunar Sic Ship
Lunar Sic Phis
Lunar Sics Hip
Lunar Sics Phi

it may have something to do with the calendar?

Yeah, Lunar stood out to me as well. Also the words Spain, China, and Liar.
But then again we don't even know what the 'correct' letters are. Is it only the added and missing ones? Or also the small ones that should be capital? I vote for including the ones with the capital problems just as I did.
Here are some anagrams again: http://is.gd/gbe6J

I think that you're possibly considering the word "might've" as being incorrect, thereby accounting for the "h" and the "a." However, note this link, showing that "might've" is considered correct: http://www.learnersdictionary.com/search/might've

I'm not sure about the 'rvisor'. Maybe you can shorten supervisor with super in office lingo/ slang? Anybody know? Also I don't consider 'might've' as incorrect.

I just included the r, not the rvisor - this will probably result in tens of thousands more anagram possibilities. Maybe I'll look at them later - but all those letters will have my head spinning. Confused I wish we'd get a little more solid of a hint to work with.

Chi as in Chi-Square? The statistical test that calculates whether differences between expected vs. observed values are a fluke?

That would be interesting because we are given a table and 2 values in each cell. Is there something about certain cells (dates) that is not in line with what would be predicted if the values were randomly distributed (or distributed predictably)?

staying with the stats thread, phi is also used to refer to a coefficient measuring association between 2 binary variables.

Is anyone a stats whiz? Does anyone have access to STATA, SPSS, or SAS?

I'm sure he didn't. His post seemed in good fun. Sometimes one has to laugh at himself when he realizes how silly he acts Razz

I found it odd that the last fish on the slide is the fish from a recent post on wimp.com Obviously OOG but still an interesting little fish. http://wimp.com/transparentfish/

PS - this is what part of the alphabet would look like without Q or R

I have a doubt about the Bobbit Worm site (the one that is link to the photo of the Bobbit Worm - www.art.com), at the end of the source code there is a reference to the http://www.hooklineandminker.com, my question is: is that normal, cause I don't see many source codes that way? Apologies in advance in case the question is a little foolish. Embarassed

And I can't find the Max Gibbis in that site.

Edit: This is the only one of those sites that is note related to fish (at least in a more directly way).
