I don't know what to think of the videos either way. They are certainly creepy, and scary, and did something I never thought would happen after I went through marble hornets.

I. I got scared. For the first time since Entry 26 a slenderman mythos thing has GENUINELY scared me.

Whether or not it's IG or OOG, they did an excellent job on both videos and I am severely impressed!

I think everyone is thinking too hard about this.
It doesn't matter that they're posted from their personal accounts. Firstly, the two videos have a connection with footage and stuff. Second, the first video ends on saying "Love, EVerymanHybrid." before a quickie Slenderman visual. Within the context of the Monster Mashup contest, they are related and meant to increase their chances to win.

But are they in-game for the actual EMH ARG? Yes. Thats why the first one ends by SAYING EverymanHybrid.

Everyone is arguing about whether they're in-game or just contest entries.

Why can't it be both? Why WOULDN'T they take some elements from their ARG series and use it in a contest, and why WOULDN'T they use that contest to advertise their ARG and bring in more viewers? I would.

We're still dealing with fiction here guys. I see nothing wrong with making a couple of in-game videos and using them as contest entries for something else. It all feeds into each other. They're bringing attention to themselves and their ARG to gain more viewers. And it's an extra treat, more hints and clues for those of us already viewing. And if they win, even better for them.

Let it go, guys. It's Chinatown. I know I've said I'm not going to stop people from discussing it, but shouldn't we be discussing the new tweet over these videos that may or may not be legit? I think now is a good time to get our heads back into the game.

Also, the blog leaves me to question this person finding it. Finding the Facebooks is one thing, finding that one blog among a sea of blogs is another thing entirely.

Yeah, I think all that is real name/FB-related is clearly not our stuff to look into. Don't want to sound mean though, but we should give the guys their privacy. Except if they LIKE having their fans.
The ARG/series-thing makes it difficult, of course, to determine where a line is crossed, but I personally like to stick to a series, and thus only go to FBs/Blogs if they are obviously not real name/OOG-related.

As for the videos, read my long long rant up here. Titles suggest we'd find them sooner or later, one is signed with EMH, another one OPENLY includes stuff from the invisible videos...
It was weird they did send it out from their real accounts though, but maybe those are also destined to become like Jessies/Alex's, who knows as of now... Everything else points towards that they were meant to be found by Slenderheads. It's the same as with the CYSTW-discussion, where people claimed her blog was OOG and we shouldn't look into it, when it already obviously referenced IG-moments (same as the videos and their title).

And I'm not saying this to get a discussion going or something, but it's an obvious fact. Whethever or not they are game related... well, we will see in the future, but I'd call at least the WttA canon as of now. But that's just me, so no Wiki-entry needs to be made.

And yes, on to speculate about Brooklyn now...

I'm reading the article now...Jesus, that's a hell of a blaze. How does somebody set fire to six blocks and not get caught? It just doesn't make any sense...

Well, I searched, but I didn't come across any immediate follow up articles. I'll keep looking more in-depth but I think it's one of those "the world has turned and left me here" kind of things, people have moved on.

On another note, new tweet, as posted above. At least he's optimistic about this. I just hope he finds what he's looking for :/

Jeez - what a 24 hrs it's been

Firstly - YAY! I found the article on the Brooklyn blaze, feels good to have contributed in some small way

secondly, and for what it's worth, i think the new vids are IG.
Without rehashing old, and sometimes bitter arguments, there are too many IG references - I mean, for the purposes of a competition, why go to the trouble of including the purple tape. It means nothing to anyone not familiar with EMH, it is completely superfluous. That and it broadly falls into the story, disjointed though it is.

IMO, the vids are sent from an alternate reality - they mention that the internet is still working, so they are posting into new accounts, ostensibly for a competition, from a place where the 'rake' wonders around creepy basements, and the sun hasn't risen for 3 days (sounds a lot like Manchester, England).
In this respect they come from the same place as the 'memory' vids that the EMH crew cannot see. This is slendy fucking with our heads, again.

In that reality, perhaps the future, the past, or properly a different dimension, things have not gone so well for the EMH crew.
